    Try to re-brick your printer. Pull out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds.

    If that doesn't help, I would suggest you to contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for additional assistance.

      Try to update your printer firmware. The update will help improve your printer's overall performance. Please visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark S400 Series Firmware Update. If more than one download is listed for your model, choose the first download in the list. If it is the wrong firmware level, an error message will tell you which firmware level is correct.
      Should the error continue to display on your computer screen, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for additional assistance.

      The left hinge is broken on my pro905 how do you fix it


      My 905 left hinge is broken too. Scanner lid/paper feed is now out of alignment and consistently jams paper being fed through it.

      Can i print in black if the colour has run out


      You won't be able to print if one of the cartridges is out of ink. The printer will prime every once in a while thus the need for all cartridges to have sufficient ink levels to prevent damaging the printhead.

      Pro905 is out of color ink. can i print in black and white text only


      The Lexmark Platinum Pro905 needs all four inks to have substantial ink for printing at all times in order to prevent damage to the printhead. This is why a user has to replace empty ink cartridges to continue printing. This includes color cartridges for black only jobs.

      I replaced the black ink cartridge yesterday and it seemed to print fine. Today it is not dispensing any ink. (I also just replaced the print head a few weeks ago.)


      You may have been impacted from a printhead issue affecting a limited number of our devices. Please visit the Lexmark support page to determine if your printer is affected with the printhead issue. You will be asked to enter your model and serial number. Also, make sure your printer is updated. The firmware update will help give you a highly reliable print system.

      My printer is only printing in black in. No color is printing at all. I have a lexmark Platinum Pro905 and the firmware is fully updated.

      My pro905 stopped printing in black although cartridge is showing 50% full. what could be the problem?


      Make sure you are using genuine Lexmark cartridges. It could be that your black cartridge needs cleaning. Try to do the Deep Clean Printhead function on the printer. Press Ink Levels -> press More Options -> select Deep Clean Printhead. The printer will then print a clean cartridge nozzles page. If black ink is not printed on the page, you may need to update your printer's firmware. The update corrects print quality issues on your printer. You can easily download and install the update using this link Lexmark Platinum Pro905 Firmware Update. Download and install the Pro905 update. Thanks.
