Service transfer roll - IBM Infoprint 1532 Laser Printer

Try replacing/reseating transfer roll.

1. The right and left transfer arm assemblies


2. The high voltage power supply (HVPS)


3. The main engine/system board

Hi, The transfer roller is the roller located untherneath the tonercartridge. Partnumber 40X0130

Both are probably still good but the HFSI (High Frequency Service Item) counter needs to be reset. Unless something has changed with them that has to be done with the service laptop hooked to machine with a serial cable and using M24 diagnostics.

The cuase is the HVPS card. Clean it or replace it.

The exact definition of this error is "Problem with transfer-transfer servo start error"... NOT the transfer roller. The service manual directs you to the Transfer roll service check.

The service check tests for proper operation of the HVSP, system board, and sensors.

The most likely cause of your problem is the HVSP ( High Voltage Power Supply ).

Change the HVPS and you should be good to go!

913 Transfer Roller Error
The printer fails to completely transfer the image to the paper or does not transfer it at all.
The image transfer roll does not lift when paper is passing over it.
Suspect either the transfer roller solenoid or transfer roller motor malfunction.
The printer would have to be professionaly serviced by authorized service centre.

Basically, when having this kind of error, you will need to primarily change the transfer roll or the High Voltage Power Supply. Hello my friend.First maake sure the printer is powered off before making any checks on the transfer roll or associated parts for personal safety and to prevent damage to the printer.
1.Check the transfer roll for any signs
of toner buildup, surface damage to the roll, oil or other contaminants on the surface of the roll. Replace the transfer roll as necessary.
2.Check the left transfer roll arm
assembly to make sure it is fastened and locked in the down position. If the arm is not locked down, check to ensure the arm is not broken and will lock into the EP frame correctly.
Check the left transfer arm assembly spring for proper operation.
3.Check the right transfer arm assembly to make sure it is fastened
and locked in the down position. If the arm is not locked down, check to make sure the arm is not broken and will lock into the EP frame correctly.
Check the right transfer arm assembly spring for proper operation. For any background problems, check to ensure the
contact to the HVPS board is correct and that there is approximately 0ohms resistance between the transfer roll shaft and the HVPS contact.
4 . The voltage changes from +24 V dc with the printer idle to 0 V dc when the printer runs the print test. If the voltage is incorrect, check the continuity of line J10-3 in the front
cable harness to the HVPS. If there is no continuity, replace the cable harness. If there is continuity, replace the HVPS. If the problem continues, replace the engine board.

This is a transfer roll error. Take the toner cartridge out and clean the area under it. The transfer roll is a roller which is right under the toner cartridge. make sure the ie is clean . It may need to be replaced.
