SOURCE: Removing Old Built-In Microwave

You did not note your Make and Model. As there are many different types, all I can give you are basic directions.
First make sure the Power Cord is UN-PLUGGED from the wall.

1. Remove the Top Vent Grille Cover. There are screws holding this on, either Three you can see (one on each side and one in the center), or Open the Door and look for screws at the top of the Frame that go Up Into the grille.
2. Look in cabinet above unit for screws that hold unit up. Usually two (one on each side, front), can be more. Remove.
3. Look where Top Vent Grille Cover was removed. There should be a Long Screw or Screw-Type Lock at each( top) corner. These hold the unit tight on the Wall-Mount Plate. Remove. You should have HELP at this point as you will slide the unit forward until it comes clear of the Support Arms.
GOOD LUCK!!

Ahh, that's one of those British brands I can't get any information about.

If you have the installation instructions, they would tell you how to install it, and it's as simple as reversing the procedure.

BUT maybe it's not too different from US models in the sense that many of its components can be accessed without pulling it from the wall, assuming it's the over the range type.

I would first refer you here:
http://www.microwavedisplay.com/safety.txt
http://www.microwavedisplay.com/disassembly.txt

In most cases, you unplug the oven, then remove the vent grille across the top, then you'll see a screw holding the top of the control panel frame in place.

Once that screw is out, you probably lift up and either swing forward or twist to loosen the control panel.

You should be able to access the fuse, etc. at this point.

There may also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel, which is very helpful when troubleshooting.

If it's built into a cabinet, then you would have to remove the metal frame covering the area in which the microwave rests.

Be safe.

First of all, what are the symptoms? Please reply back and I'll be happy to share my thoughts.

Many parts can be accessed without removing the oven from the wall by just removing the control panel.

You need to be sure the cord is unplugged, then you remove the vent grille that runs across the top.

Then you'll see a screw holding the control panel in place. Once that screw is out, you can lift out and out carefully to separate the control panel form the chassis.

If you pull any wires off the control panel, mark and/or photograph them first to be sure you get them ALL back in the right place.

There may also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel, which is very helpful when troubleshooting.

look in the cabinet above the microwave, there should be 2 bolts which go through the bottom of the cabinet and screw into the microwave. remove these 2 bolts holding the unit steady then tilt the unit down and away from the wall.

Door spring on build in microwave oven

Is this a combination built-in oven with microwave on top? And is this microwave one in which the door opens downward like a regular oven? If so, then this is a common problem for this oven/microwave combo, but replacing the spring is not a job for amatures. It takes a professional 45 minutes typically to do this job. It involves removing trim pieces, removing screws that hold the microwave oven in place, pulling the microwave out a couple of inches, and taking the door apart to get to the 2 torsion-bar springs. Replacing them is quite tricky, as is re-assembling the door. I recommend calling Sears Service (1-800-469-4663) to get a seasoned repairman to come out and fix your oven/microwave. Cost will probably be between $180 to $200.

I purchased an intellichef microwave from qvc. the turntable has quit working, can this be fixed or do i need to purchase a new ,icrowave?

I have the same oven and it did the same thing. I fixed it by removing the drip pan and removing 3 screws and poping the plate, the screws are holding down, up you won't be able to remove it all the way out, then clean out all the gunk that has built up in it put plate back in place and screws back in and hopefully that will be enough to get it going again. It worked on mine.
