I put in dvd and it just plays the audio. A box keeps coming up saying " Attention! Viewing of front seat video source while driving is strictly prohibited." How do I see the video?

Its either only going to play video when your vehicle is in park, or whoever installed it did not do it correctly. If you have tried it in park and it still does not work then you need to either take it back to whoever installed it, or double check your wiring.

My avh-p4000 dvd is not displaying video when i insert dvd's I only recieve audio is there a switch that I need to set to get both audio and video

there is a light green wire that needs to go to the parking brake. video will not work unless the parking brake is on. this is for safety reasons and it is illegal for the driver to view videos while driving.

Watch a dvd while driving pioneer AVH-P4000 DVD

ground the wire to a hot (ie power comes to the wire) switch in your dash, like a rear window defroster or seat heater. turn the switch on then off and it will trick the system into thinking you activated the parking brake.

Hi i have a pioneer avh-p6800 dvd for my lexus in the uk. this is a usa model available only in the usa. the problem is that when i am parked or driving and you play dvds there is sound and no picture, but...

All those dvd radios will not let you watch the video while driving. If the car is in park the video will come on. Most of the time if you push the emergency brake down with your foot one click it will allow the video to play. You can still drive around with the brake on with one click or if it doesnt click just push it down and inch or so. But you shouldnt be watchin videos while driving!! lol
