Question about Dell Dimension 5150 (DIM515MIN) PC Desktop
I HAVE POWER TO THE COMPUTER AND SOMETIMES IT WILL NOT START UP,IF I LEAVE IT TILL THE NEXT DAY, IT IMAYBE START, SO ITS A HIT OR MISS TO USE IT.
IF IT DOES START A BLACK SCREEN COMES UP TELLING ME THAT SOME FLOPPY DISC DRIVE NEEDS CONFIGUIRED AND THE DATE AND TIME NEED RESET, I INSERTED A NEW BATTERY THREE WEEKS AGO AND IT STILL WILL NOT ACCEPT THE NEW DATES AND TIME.
I JUST PRESS THE FI KEY TO GO AHEAD AND USE THE COMPUTER, BUT WHEN I SHUT DOWN ITS HOPING IT WILL RESTART WHEN I NEED IT AGAIN
You need to get into the bios of your system and setup the date, time, and disable floppy boot. You may also want to clean any/all dust/dirt/hair from your system and make sure your fans are working. Sounds like your cmos battery failed (you changed that) and that your processor/motherboard is failing due to overheating
