HP 1600 color laser printer--colors are out of sync

The color registration is out of sync on my printer, and I can't see in the online manual how to fix this. Is there a way to force the printer to recalibrate its color registration?

have you changed the toner or wiped it so the residue does not stick to the components on the paper disconnecting the colours that come out

It's not good news but, it's accurate.
