Restoring your iTunes Library backup

When you need to restore your backed up iTunes Library from your external hard drive to your computer, follow these steps:

Quit iTunes.
Locate your external hard drive.
Mac: On the Desktop or Finder sidebar.
Windows: In My Computer

Drag the iTunes folder (backed up earlier) from your external hard drive to whatever location you desire on your internal hard drive. It is recommended that you choose the default location for the iTunes folder, which is:

Mac OS X: /Users/username/Music
Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\
Windows Vista or Windows 7: \Users\username\My Music\
Open iTunes while holding down the Option key (Mac) or Shift key (Windows).

In the resulting dialog, click the Choose Library button.

Select the iTunes folder you just moved to the internal hard drive.
Click Choose.

My fingerpad (mousepad) is not working properly. I have to double click for it to move.

Go to Control Panel, click on Mouse, and the Mouse Properties window opens. Here you can select Restore Defaults then click on Apply/OK. This should restore normal touchpad behavior.

Microsoft windows 8 update causes all my downloaded apps to disappear as well as all my pictures, videos, and documents from my libraries

i think this is happening due to two reasons
1) Your are not using Microsoft account user and have chosen a local user.
2) possible issues with windows 8 version you have - i didn't face it for 1.5 years of Windows 8 which i had.
Solutions
1) Use Microsoft account - they can keep all your apps in onedrive - so this gets automatically downloaded everytime.

2) Try to update to Windows 8.1 version - which is way better than Windows 8.

Hope this helps.

How do you put the Windows XP back to factory default in the start?

There's two ways, one is using system restore and using the oldest restore point, as long as the points weren't deleted to increase storage space.

The other way is to use a windows XP install disk and doing a fresh install of XP.

As for a system, you can restore a system like a pre-built, say a eMachine using the recovery partition or recovery disks.

Can't restore to default. receiveing iPod error

Resolution If you are experiencing these errors, begin by updating to the latest version of iTunes. When you have the current version of iTunes, try the following:
  • Disconnect and reconnect your iPod and then attempt to restore.
  • Restart your computer and then attempt to restore your iPod.
  • Disable or Enable Disk Use on your iPod and then attempt to restore.
  • Try connecting your iPod to a different USB port and then attempt to restore.
  • Remove any third-party USB devices you have connected to your computer (it is not necessary to remove your keyboard or mouse).
  • If you use Windows, re-register .dll files as described in article iTunes displays -50 error message when syncing iPod on Windows XP
  • For Windows users, update or reinstall your Windows USB drivers.
Additional Information Note: If you have an iPod shuffle you may need to use the iPod Reset Utility to restore the iPod. If you are not sure which iPod you have, see Apple Support document Identifying iPod models.
If you are using an iPod touch, or iPhone please refer to this article.

When I open Explorer 8 a window opens which says Internet Explorer Search provider default. A program on your computer has corupted your default setting for Internet Explorer. I click ok then a manage...

You don't have to just go to your control panel, then to programs and features(if you have VISTA) or your remove programs feature. When there click on explorer 8 and remove. Another option which is what i did when mine didn't work was I went to system restore under system tools. Then restored the system to an earlier date before I had 8 and now everything works fine. I have since reinstalled 8 and have no problems at this time. There are a few problems with 8 still to be worked out but it should work fine some day.

How to uninstall flip share form my flip video camcorder

On Windows, if you change your library location and then uninstall and re-install FlipShare, FlipShare will not remember where you changed your library location to and will create a new library in the default My Documents location. To restore contents of your library you should shutdown FlipShare, delete the 'FlipShare.db' file located in the 'My Documents>My Videos>FlipShare Data>' folder, re-launch FlipShare, select the option to 'Browse' for you library and select the location of your library. On the Mac, FlipShare will remember where you changed your library location to.
Or go into controll panel and remove from there
