Question about Palm TX Handheld

1 Answer

I did a hard reset. Now I get stuck either on the initial "Palm P

Powered or on the "target" screen. I tried holding the center button while holding the Home button, but nothing happened. I have tried several soft resets, but it is still stuck. Thanks!

There is a possibility that there is like dirt or sand between the screen and the frame. I know really simple right? Thats what I thought and it actually was a piece of popcorn for me. Use like a piece of paper or something and try to clean it out then it should take off.

Palm Tungsten E2 stuck on Tap the center of the target

The digitizer part is defective and needs to be replaced.

You can find digitizer parts in ebay or other on-line companies, at reasonable prices.

Regarding the labor cost, depending of the repair shop you choose, it may be cheap or expensive.

Also, if you have minimum experience and skills in fixing electronics, you can try it. really is not so difficult, and minimum set of tools are needed for it

Best regards,

My Palm TX device is not initializing. it says "palm powered" then a loading bar starts at the bottom of the screen, then it turns off...and it repeats the same thing over and over again.

Have you tried a hard reset? In case you need to know how...Hold Power button on Top of Palm down, then press reset button, then release reset button and continue to hold power button down until second Palm logo comes on screen and progress bar at the bottom of screen completes. If you release the power button and it asks which language you want to use you have done this correctly.
