Cd-rom won't run

When I put a disk in my 513n Pavillion the light blinks but my computer doesn't recognize there is a disk in it. I can't find the CD-ROM's link on my computer either.

you will have to open the pc and check the cables running to the drive. If you are confident enough to do that, I would suggest to remove the cable and push it back again firmly.

However before you open the PC and reseat the cable i will advice you to go to BIOS and check if optical driver( Disc Drive) appears in the BIOS or not if yes than you don't have to open and reseat the cable.
If Optical driver Appears in the BIOS Try these steps don't open the PC.
You go to registry and delete upper and lower filter and restarts the PC and i'm sure it should work.
If not than try system restore or try to reinstall optical drive drivers from recovery manger at last if nothing works than system recovery.
If optical drive doesn't appears on BIOS nad try and reseat the Cable if you are comfortable.
