Question about Samsung Cell Phones
I down loaded an android upgrade and now the screen goes to the numeric pad with a return arrow showing only and my pin number cannot be actioned and emergency number only is illustrates some help please

sounds like either your sim card isnt inserted correctly, or the slots arent turned on. sim card slot 2 is the slot closest to the phone, gold chip faces up, sim card slot one is slightly elevetaed off the phone, gold chip faces down. make sure it is inserted all the way down. perss fimly. then go to SETTINGS>DUAL SIM SETTINGS>DUAL SIM OPEN>CLICK OK. This opens up both sim card slots. after you find out which slot you are going to use, you can repeat these steps and only have opened the one you are using.

If you forgot the password or don't know the security code, You have to master reset the phone. Contact your service provider to get a master reset code at free of cost....You can also visit http://www.unlock-zone.com/ and can see different options there to get unlock code for a price. Choose any price appropriate for you.

Try other sim cards in the phone to be sure the problem is not from the sim. When you are sure the problem is not from the sim, try to reset the phones's factory settings. If it still does not work, then flash the phone.
If the fault was detected to be a sim fault, then get another line of the same network, and call your mobile service operators.

make sure that data is turned on. When you pull down your 'message screen' by pulling your finger down from the top of the phone, you have several options like, wifi, gps... one should be for Mobile data. make sure this is turned on. if it is turned on, turn your phone off, take out the battery and sim card for ten minutes, then turn your phone back on and try again.
