My computer keeps on saying that a usb device not recognized. i havent connected any device to my computer. how can i fix it? tnx a lot..

First simply try turning off your computer then unplug your computer from the "power supply".
Wait 15 - 30 minutes and then plug it back in and restart. If that doesn't work....

1. Click Start, Control Panel, and then Performance and Maintenance.
2. Double-click the System icon.
3. Click the Hardware tab and then Device Manager.
4. Double-click Universal Serial Bus Controllers.

Uninstall the USB ports from here. To do so, right-click the USB controllers that are listed under Universal Serial Bus Controllers and click uninstall.

Hope this helps

Drivers disc is cracked. can I download the

Please download to a location you can easily find later (DESKTOP is a good location so you can delete the folder after installation)

At this point you can update the drivers manually...
1. Right-Click on MY COMPUTER, Select PROPERTIES.
2. Select HARDWARE
4. Scroll down to the USB Video adapter.
5. Right Click on the Device and select UPDATE DRIVER.
6. Do NOT allow Windows to automatically find the drivers.
7. BROWSE to the Folder you created at the beginning and direct it to the correct folder for your operating system. STK1150 should appear.

My windows xp wont detect my trying to connect my mobilepre usb can someone please help me solve this?

First ensure you have any software installed the the M-Audio needs My Oxygen keyboard needed the software to work properly.

Also do not extend the USB cable and make sure you use the proper power supply my Oxygen would not work 100% until I got a power supply for it

I devised these simple steps that tend to remedy quite a few issues with most USB portable / external hard drives and OTHER devices (though not always)

A few things to check but assumes USB and Windows for other interfaces / operating systems (mac/ Linux) similar steps may be adapted to suit.

1. Ensure it is connected directly to the computer to a USB 2.0 port not a USB 1.0 port as this can have effects on performance and reliability

2. Use only the cables that came with it NOT one that fits that may have been lying around or is longer. Not all USB cables are equal even though they should be)

3. Do not connect through an external USB HUB unless that hub is USB 2.0 AND has its own power supply.

4. Use ONLY the power supply that came with it if it has an external power supply Don’t use any other unless you know it has both the same voltage and current rating e.g. 12V 500mA anything rated below that would not work properly.

5. Always use the same port for connecting your devices. Some devices do not like being switched about. If switched they may want to install software / drivers again. This can be especially true if you move a HUB to another port

If you checked and fixed anything there and still have issues then check your hardware from CONTROL PANEL / SYSTEM / HARDWARE.

Any exclamation marks by hardware need fixing before you investigate any further

USB flash drives can fail for no apparent reason.
Sandisk Cruzers are especially bad for this.

USB hard drives should be treated with extreme care.
This is a real hard drive ! and knocks and bumps can quite literally kill them.

It is possible to remove drives from the enclosures in most cases and connect directly inside a PC to fully check it.

Note that if you hear a drive clicking or pinging this could be the worst thing you would hear.
Known as "The Click Of Death"

If none of the above steps help look at updating the drivers from the manufacturers web site in the support section.

Pretty much the same issue except mine worked for about 2 months

USB is sometimes seems strange; once a device is found by the device manager, it does not repeat the 'new hardware found' routines UNLESS it is plugged into a different USB port. You can go through Control Panel to the System manager, and delete the USB device from the hardware list. Then plugging it back int will trigger the hardware manager to re-initialize it.

M-Audio USB

U need an external phantom power supply, they run about $19.99, or you can get a different interface which has phantom power onboard, the cheapest one would be the m-audio mobile pre usb but that would not work on vista 64 bit... best bet is to get external power....

AverMedia KeyLite

plug and play simply means that the unit is supported within windows and does not require a driver to be installed, although this peice of hardware gives many options as to connection the pc graphics driver still needs to be told to either duplicate(clone) the screen to your tv or change the screen from monitor to tv, this is normally done by right clicking on an empty space on your desktop and selecting graphics options or the menu will already appear to enable you to click to change your view. Dont forget also this unit only supports 1024x768 desktop resolution
