I need instructions for a Linksys Wireless G router to work

I have a Qwest DSL M1000 modem which works fine. I have a Linksys WRT54G router and a Belkin wireless card in my desktop. I have put in the I.P. 192.168.1.1 and "admin" for both User Name and Password. I did this by going online using the Linksys Ethernet output and a cable to my computer. It is at this point where I'm not sure what to do next. I have tried selecting the PPPoE configuration and filling in the Qwest I.P. and Password but that didn't work. When I disconnect the ethernet cable line, the internet connection is lost and I am lost as to what else to do.Help!
