Question about AOL Instant Messenger
I have two users who are experiencing the same thing. They both noticed a java update happened before this problem appeared. But I have uninstalled/reinstalled AIM clients, updated Java, uninstalled/reinstalled Adobe Flash (I read somewhere else that might be causing the issue) with no luck. I am going up to try some other tricks I found whilst googling, so if it works, I'll post
I fixed it by doing the following:
first close down all open browsers, chat programs; basically, all applications. Then open IE and run the un-install utility of Adobe Flash player from here:
Then restart the computer. Then reinstall Adobe Flash Player from www.adobe.com
Uninstalling it from the control panel did not work, I had to use the uninstall utility from Adobe.
