Do you have the charger terminal, or do you have the charger that you have to take out the battery and charge. Because I have found that my base terminal charger works better than the battery charger that needs the battery to be removed to charge. If you have the terminal charger and the power light is green when it is in the charger I would start from the terminal

You have dead nimh (nickle metal hydride) batteries.
You will need a replacement. You can test for this by removing the battery and holding the power button for 15 seconds. This will restart the charging cycle as if the battery were new.

My same symptoms are - after starting charge, Red light is on, then second light turns On. Then for a long time nothing happens. And later I have all three LED flashing.
I replaced battery and nothing changed.
Imeasured Power Supply voltage and found it 24.2v instead 28v as it stated on the label.
I opened it up and found that the three-lid chip marked 431 is faulty.
431 is a voltage shunt, which sets and controls output voltage.
You can use AIC431CUS or TL432 (TL431 has different pinout).
I replaced mine and volatge back to 28.25v and charger is now working as it should.
You can also use any TO-92 431 chip - there is enough room for it.

SOURCE: the little green light is
The power is not the problem, but motor is problem.Thats why the green light still comes on, but motor is not coming on.The motor is got short and needs to be replaced. This motor has a tendency, to get overheat and machine automatically cuts off and again starts after motor cools down. But slowly slowly, the coils in the motor gets burned out and motor itself gets weak and at last stops working.-------In your case the motor made odd whirring sound and at last stopped working.-------- But still check the wires passing from motor to the main control board.May be any of the wire got overheated and burned out and this caused the problem. But most probably its faulty motor, that needs to be replaced.----------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.
