The blade must be running on the band wheel. Drive belt is only responsible for rotation of the wheel.

slacken the alternator pivot mounting bolt and the adjusting arm bolt then move the alternator towards the engine . slip the drivebelt off the alternator pulley.refitting is the revers sequence of removal, but before titgtening the muonting and adjusting arm bolt, tension the drivebelt.
