The thing that comes to mind is the brew unit is blocked and or the grind is too fine. Remove the brew unit and clean the screen under the red o-ring.

Hi If you make a pre-ground shot but don't put any coffee in it, and it does the same thing you have a blockage in the brew head. If it run normally, your grind is to fine. Push the grinder lever to a larger number. It takes 3 times to change to the new grind. If it still dribbles, remove the brew unit (behind the door) Holding the handle, the top left side is the brew head. There is an outlet pipe that exits the backside towards the machine (looks like an "L" pipe). 2screws hold it to the top. Remove the 2 screws while holding the manifold ("L" pipe assembly). Once they are removed, lift the l assembly off (becareful, there is an O-ring, spring and inside a crystal ball (don't loose it or your out of luck). Turn the brew unit upside down while holding the brew head in your other hand and the crystal ball should fall out. If it doesn't come out put a towel down and tap the brew unit on the towel. This should force it out. Now remove the brew screen, by holding the screen with your finger and twisting the thumbscrew (remember thumbscrew, DON'T use the key to install the screen, use your fingers..... Once the screen is out look at where the screen was. There are 2 holes. 1 big one in the center and a small one to the side. With the brew unit upside down over the towel insert a paperclip into the small hole and force anything out the other side. I have gotten worms almost a 1" long from this passage. The paper clip has to go from this side to prevent damage to the seat on the other side. Clean then reassemble. Brew unit on towel right side up. Drop the crystal ball in first. Then the spring small end first on the crystal ba Now the O-ring over the spring, then place the manifold on top of that with the pipe towards the machine. Insert your screws (I turn them backwards a little with a little downward pressure until they feel like they drop into the threads. They should turn down easily, if not back them up a little more ( we are trying to find the old threads) and tighten. Install screen, and tighten with your fingers. The screen just needs to be flush with the bottom of the brew head. Run another pre-ground without the coffee and rinse it out. Do this once in a while to prevent this.

If it still dribbles, remove the brew unit (behind the door)
Holding the handle, the top left side is the brew head. There is an outlet pipe that exits the front side towards the door. 2 screws hold it to the top. Remove the 2 screws while holding the manifold. Once they are removed, lift the l assembly off (becareful, there is a spring and inside a steel ball (don't loose it or your out of luck). Turn the brew unit upside down while holding the brew head in your other hand and the steel ball should fall out. If it doesn't come out put a towel down and tap the brew unit on the towel. This should force it out.

Once the screen is out look at where the screen was. There are 2 holes. 1 big one in the center and a small one to the side.
Now use air to blow back through the opening where the steel ball was to clear the opening. Once its open, clean then reassemble. Brew unit on towel right side up. Drop the steel ball in first. Then the spring.
Then place the manifold on top of that with the pipe towards the door. Insert your screws (I turn them backwards a little with a little downward pressure until they feel like they drop into the threads. Call 1-800-233-9054 and ask Salton/Toastmaster for part number 31036 for the MEK17W kettle. You may as well buy 2.
When this scale filter in the spout of a Melitta MEK17W or Toastmaster TEK17W (identical kettles) gets torn the kettle does not hold in enough steam to trigger the auto off switch. Same thing happens if you do not fully close the kettle lid. With a new and spare scale filter you will get way more life out of this inexpensive and handy kettle.
If you still have the old original filter, here is an inexpensive and permanent repair option using stainless mesh:

Saeco Odea Go - slow to brew coffee, comes out of steam valve

The steam valve needs to be replaced, because the pins have been damaged from high pressure buildup, could have been caused from a very fine grind. You can also check the screen in the brew unit that might be blocked and causing the high pressure backup.

I have a Melitta Mill and brew coffee maker and the clip on the lid is broken and will not grind and brew without this clip to hold closed the top. Where can I find a replacement part?

I Googled my question and there was a web site by a lady who has the same machine and on her web site was the 1-800 number where I could order the part over the phone. I went back to find the web site for its address and couldn't find it. Sorry but the # I called is 1-800-947-3745

Cuisinart grind and brew--water does not come down

If the water is not coming out of the filter basket, and is instead leaking over the edges, then replace the brew basket.

If there is no water at all, call Cuisinart - those coffee makers have a 3-year warranty.

DGB-900 Grind and Brew grinder

One idea to try. I noticed with my grind & brew that the moisture never evaporated from the inside top of the machine. Since that cannot be good over a long term, I have started leaving the top open during the day after I clean the machine in the morning. Your problem is why I started doing that. Why don't you try leaving the top open for a couple of days and see if drying the machine out doesn't cause some of that gunk to dry out?
