Question about Breitling Watches
Pulled out stem but hands will not rotate. New battery just installed
Posted by Anonymous on
Who installed the battery, are they competent?
If they are take it back to them for repair in not send it to Brietling service for repair.
This is not a DIY job.

Try setting the crown to position 2 - i.e. the position normally used to adjust the date. Then use the top and bottom stopwatch buttons to adjust the minute hand and 1/10th hand respectively.

Sometimes a watch will be off center due to shock, dead battery etc. Symptoms are; hands don’t line up, digital and analog time doesn’t match, Compass function doesn’t have the hands exactly opposite etc. This can all be fixed. The Synchronization function can be used:
1. Activate Crystal
2. Tap center until you are the unit’s screen (12h or 24h, F ft or C m).
3. Push and hold (at least five seconds) the center crown
4. Watch will beep and word (SYNCHRO) will appear in the display.
5. Use the top + button to line up the minute hand right on the 12.
6. Use the bottom – button to line up the hour hand right on the 12.
7. When finished, press crown and you will go back to time.

radio signal for the National Physical Laboratory's clock is transmitted
on the MSF 60kHz signal via the transmitter at Rugby, operated by British
Telecom International. This should have a range of some 1,500 km or 937.5
miles. All of the British Isles are of course within this radius.
The National Physical Laboratory's role as keeper of the national time standards is to ensure that the UK time-scale agrees with Co-ordinated Universal Time (UTC) to the highest levels of accuracy and to make that time available across the UK. As an example, the MSF (MSF being the three-letter call sign to identify the source of the signal) radio broadcast provides the time signal for, electronic share trading, the clocks at most railway stations and for BT's speaking clock.
