What would make a 865 Turbo run for 1 minute and stops? It restarts and runs for 1 minute and stops?

Hey. Couple of things come to mind. If the catalytic converter (or muffler, usually the cat) is mostly blocked, the car will only run a very short time and then quit due to exhaust backpressure. A mostly blocked gas filter will cause a similar situation.

Runs for 2 mins. then stops, push reset button & will run for 2 minutes & stops again

How long have you had the dryer? It sounds like it is overheating, and the most likely cause is accumulated lint. You can check this by removing the round plastic covers on either side panel. Just rotate them and they will pop out. Clean out any lint you see in the air channels and replace the covers.

Also check your ducting - it may be partially or fully blocked by something. You could test this by disconnecting the ducting, then running the dryer to see if it still shuts off. (Prepare for some loose lint flying out in this event.)

Try unpluging your dry for about 5 minutes. Sometimes it just needs to reset itself.

You hear the compressor kick in (Hum) but no fan comes on? Will the fan come on when just in fan mode, not cool, or do you have that set-up?

It appears that you may have controller issues since operation is haywire. Try to reset the electronics to factory defaults. If this remedy does not do it then.........

Clock will run down to 1 second of the minute and microwave will stop

The surge probably didn't cause this. This common error indicates a problem in the convection damper circuit. It may be a defective damper switch, damper motor, or a jammed damper door. I have attached a drawing of a typical damper system. If you or a friend decide to work on it, we have *critical* safety, disassembly, and troubleshooting info at our site, which is linked at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk You can order parts for Sharp models from Tritronics at http://www.wehaveparts.com.
