We have a celestron 114AZ telescope. we cannot see anything with it. why?

Most problems will be overcome by reading and absorbing the instruction manual.

Assuming the telescope is in good order, it must first be pointed at a light source using the spotter scope and then aligned using the lowest power eyepiece before fitting the high powered eyepiece...

You also should be in very low light conditions.

Cannot focus on moon with Fuji HS30.

I suggest trying a higher ISO setting and using the tripod. My moon shots look just fine from the HS30exr.

I dontknow how to look through it andfocus on a star,or moon

Hi Joe, I'm Mark.
The small scope on top of your big scope is called the "finder" scope. Probably 2X or 4X. It should have cross hairs in the view. Find the moon with it. It will also require focusing but since the moon is bright, you can get an idea where it is in the lens by that.
Next. Find the LOWEST power eyepiece to insert into the lens holder. And rotate the focus knob.
Hopefully, you will see some bright blurry thing and then you can focus on it.
After you get it in focus, put on a more powerful lens and look at the craters on the moon.
Note: You will need to adjust your telescope to the earth's rotation. Your scope should have
instructions for accomplishing this.
Hope this helps,
Best, Mark

I cant get focus on the moon with my 100-400mm lense

Many cameras have trouble focussing on something as far away as the moon. Try manual focus. Also, watch your exposure...the moon is brighter than you think.

Can't get the moon in focus.

Full moon is very bright, so you are probably seriously over-exposing your image......not enough contrast in there for the camera to focus on.

Under expose in small increments until the camera can latch onto to the image accuratley.

Telescope will not focus on moon, stars etc. will focus on ground targets. i know there are 3 different optics and i know there use.are there up grades to make this new telescopes work? i e-mailed tasco of...

You won't get anything from TASCO - these are considered toy telescopes. Put the eyepiece with the LARGEST number written on it into the telescope. DO NOT use the 2X barlow it is useless in such a small telescope.

Your first target should be the moon -- practice focusing on the moon until you can do it easily.
