Make sure your caraffe has its lid on , and check the bottom of the filter. it usually has a valve preventing coffee from leaking when you remove the caraffe. the lid pushes the valve back open when you place the caraffe back into the machine.
I unfortunately got my vivy emesred in water. When I switch it on it stars brewing cold water splashing all over the place and does not stop! Any idea how I can salvage the machine?
I had the same exact issue with my EC-BD15 and came very close to
disposing it. My gut feeling held me back since all of the lights were
still working. I happened to take an empty water bottle and started
gently tapping the side of unit near the lights. The next thing I know,
it came back to life, on Easter of all days. I came to the conclusion
that something must have been interfering with the electrical sensors.
Good Luck, Egdbert.
mcdevito75 here, Sounds like your coffee maker needs to be cleaned, all the water cycleing thru have left some deposits in the cycleing ports, refer to your owners manual for cleaning details.
You don't have to wait 15 mins. just a few minutes, then run some hot water to warm up the portafilter and dry it up, fill it up with coffee and when you get the gree light again, make your espresso . You will have to have a good fine coffee and make sure to pack the coffee really good and don't leave any around the edges , so could make a good seal. If you have steam coming out of the machine , is maybe to hot and is ready to brew . Cool down the machine after use, run water through it and let the steam out of the nozzle.
