I have a blocked hose but cannot get hose off to clear it. tried using flathead screwdriver etc to no avail

i do not know how you managed to block it but...

if block is in the throat on the suction side - just use hook made from coat hanger wire, bend it sufficiently as will be about half diameter of the hose/throat, bend about 1/3 diameter of the pipe, this is that if you tug too strongly - you will not pierce the wall of the hose.

if blockage already slipped down the hose, then of course remove it and physically remove the obstruction. at the top, there is depending on the country of origin, two or three slots, you need to press you flat bed screwdriver into this slot and wiggle it towards the hose as to release latch on the hose, at this same time pull hose slightly off, rotate the mount and now insert screwdriver to release catch on other side as well, this will release hose from it's mount.

do this same on other end of the hose and you will have hose which can be easy cleaned with even broomstick handle or better still with electrical cable snake.

to mount it back - just insert that way as latches will catch on respective holes in mount.

to check if you cleaned it correctly - put a marble through the hose, if marble rattles through happily without any obstruction - you cleaned it!

hope this little info will help you, do not forget to vote...

Replace an external hose to a D07 vacuum cleaner

remove the handle from the body of the unit slide the handle all the way out there is a small button on the plastic coller press it in and pull the handle free lay the hose on the floor and at the base of the hose there is a hook put one finger under the hook and just between the hose and the body you will see a clip that is locked into the body put your thumb on the clip pull it towards you and as you do this lift the hook and the hose coller will come out it can be hard to get it out so take your time

The system was removed to another location and one

Yes it could. It sounds like your low voltage wires are not hooked up properly. You need to get your contractor back out there.

What parts go to a Kirby Shampooer?

There is a shampooer head with shampooer brushroll, water tank, small hose that hooks to the tank, collection tray

Need to use the Kirby shampoo. It goes down as wet suds but you pick up the suds with the vacuum when it drys. Fill tank adding 1 cap full of soap (kirby soap only) per level on the side, this attaches on the side where the bag is attached

After using the shampooer you need to reattach the vacuum bag and main brushroll nozzle as though you were just vacuuming up dirt.

Lift the front of your kirby up (front part with light) open the handle on the dail in the front (if epquipt), remove the power head, put on height adjustment on highest level, turn dial on front of power head until you see 2 red arrows facing each other, unlock by turning knob, power head should come right off, get shampooer out the power head for shampooer with collection tray, make sure dial is set red on red, put on front of Kirby and lock in, turn dial to green on green arrows, fill tank adding 1 cap full of soap (Kirby soap only) per level on the side, this attaches on the side where the bag is attached, line up arrow and notch and turn, to hook up hose put Kirby down to lowest level, notched end of hose hooks in on tray other end on the tank,on/off switch refers to the foam, Turn machine on to lay the foam & scrub carpet, take shampooer back off to extract the foam once it's dry.

Good luck.

Hose attachment

Your wand is getting stuck in the hose because the hose is twisted - you need to unwind it:

1) Pull the wand up as far as you can, all the way if possible
2) Stretch the hose out and unwind it, use some babypowder on the metal part of the wand and in the future, unwind and stretch the hose out after you use it

3) If you can't get the wand all the way out, remove the canister from the front, push the button where you see the 7 vertical grooves (on the opposite side of the hook that you wind the cable around) - then pull on the hook and pull the hose up and off of the machine - stretch the hose out from the bottom and pull the wand out - now apply baby powder to the metal rod and disconnect and stretch and unwind the hose every time after you used the wand to clean.

Dyson dc25 animal: cannot remove the telescope reach wand.

The hose is getting twisted on the machine and so the wand gets stuck in the hose.

1) Pull the wand out as far as you can - if you can pull it out completely, separate it from the hose and apply baby powder to the
metal rod. Stretch out the hose and unwind it. In the future, separate the wand and unwind/stretch the hose after use.
2) If you can't pull the wand out all the way, remove the canister/dirt bin from the front. Look for a gray button with 7 vertical
lines/grooves on it (it'll be just above the ball on the opposite side of the bottom hook that you wind the cable around).
3) Push the button and at the same time pull the hose out from the bottom by pulling on the hook - this will release the gray hose
from the machine. Take it off of the machine if possible (the bottom of the wand may stop you from doing so - if it does, try to pull
the wand out until you can release the hose from the bottom)
4) Pull and stretch the hose out and pull the wand at the same time - separate the wand from the hose and unwind the gray hose and
stretch it out. Rub baby powder on the metal rod of the wand and in future, disconnect the wand from the hose and stretch/unwind the
hose after every time you use the wand.

Where do the hoses connect?

The upholstery **** hooks into the dirty water collection tank. With the lis off the tank, you remove a flat plastic part from the tank on the side and replace it with the flat plastic part of the hose. Then put the lid on and you're good to go.

Kirby attachments instructions

Ok, the hose goes on the front. The light should lift up then, the front emblem rotates. this releases the belt from drive shaft. Underneath where the light was, there will be a release lever, which will release the entire front end where the brushes are located.

Once removed, you will see the intake fan and bar beneath it. The hose hooks to this bar. Then to the left of intake, there is a safety switch. The end of the hose has an arm that will fit into this safety switch.

Once hose is in place, the release lever that loosened the brushes will now tighten the hose.

The bag stays in the same place. If you have the 2nd handle attachment, you can use that to replace the upright handle. The release button on back side of handle.

I own a G4 and used to sell the G6 which was right before the one you own. The G3 thru Ultimate G are work in the same manner just different colors.

Hope this was helpful.
