I love the machine because it sucks up the dirt but it also sucks up the rug fibers and is clogging the hose. How to I clean out the hose?

Try this - run a strong string with a small weight attached down through the hose. Tie a small rag or a sponge to the end of the string and pull it back through the hose.

Doesn't suck when hose is in

If your Nilfisk doesn't suck with the hose on it, and it sucks from the body with it off, it means that the hose is blocked. I have had Nilfisks when I worked in hotels and have seen this before. Push a broomstick down the tube from both ends after removing the metal handle. There is a rubber seal with a plastic ring. Remove the ring and the seal will stretch and come off the ball on the end of the metal tube.

My Miele vacuum's hose has stopped sucking-help!!

Sounds like you might have something caught in it. If you have another vacuum with a hose, use that machine to suck out the clog in your Miele hose.

Fixing the overstretched hose on the helix bissell vacuum

Hey Trinidad! Sorry to hear the hose sucking together. You may want to purchase a new upholstery hose.

Accessory hose not sucking

Try taking the hose off, and making sure it is not stopped up, either in the hose, or where it attaches. Straighten a wire coat hanger and run down the hose to check for obstructions.

Hope this helps!!!

Vaccum has no suction

Here is what we did to fix the problem of our vacuum having no suction.
We unscrewed the three screws on the back and took the hose off of the vacuum.  Then we took the hose outside and put the water hose through the vacuum hose and turned on the water.  After about 30 second the water pushed through a dust bunny the size of a fist and a marker.  Basically, the vacuum did not have suction because the hose was clogged with dust, etc.  After reassembling the vacuum, it worked just fine.

Minuteman ambassador jr. shampoo extractor

roro, There are two possibilites: One is that each hose does something different (suck and exhaust) or both suck. Find the one that sucks. That should be the one that you hook tools to now. If the attachment has an electrical connection, it will be needed to do scrubbing. If the shampoo unit is from a different brand, you'll have to make up something to do that. If you do, be certain that the connection is fully taped up so no liquid can get to it!!

SteamVac Supreme Vacuum Problem:

Does this have the slot in front of the dirty water tank for the hose? If it does and the hose isn't installed, there is a block that you put in when the hose isn't being used. If not there, then it will blow air and won't suck up.
