SOURCE: problem removing head from tripod

Look on the underside of the platform where you screwed on the head. It should have 3 small screws in it. These are tighened and loosened with a jeweler's screwdriver. You may have one screw that is just *barely* tight, so you were able to hand tighten the head until it "locked" into place with the screw. When you loosen each of these screws a few turns the head should come off.

If you can't locate these screws, or you can't remove the head, you will need to take the tripod to a large camera store for assistance. Their rental or repair department can help you remove the head. If you need help locating a large camera store with a rental or repair department in your area, I may be able to help - I would need your location (e.g. city/state/country/zip or postal code).

SOURCE: vanguard vt438 help!!! urgent

Think you'll find its a QS29 adaptor which is used on other models. At least the one on mine is labelled QS29 and the pictures look the same. They seem to be available.

SOURCE: Bogen tripod head stuck on tripod.

There are three small set screw (grub screws) that are under the head, net to the center column. You will have to raise the center column and look under the head. These are slotted screw heads and a small to medium screwdriver should work. You don ot have to remove the grub screws completely, but you should back them out at least half way. The head will unscrew off the center column. The gray part below the head is half the head attachment and half the center column end plate so it should separate in the middle line between the two.

SOURCE: I need to remove & replace the head on my Vanguard tripod. I cannot undo the central screw that goes into the middle slider tube. How can I remove this screw

Not all tripods have heads that can be removed. Without knowing which model vanguard tripod there is little anybody can do to help you.

Broken quick release plate lever on Vanguard PH-32 3-way Photo Magnesium Alloy Panhead.

Unfortunately, Vanguard does not sell replacement pieces, you may have to ship it off to them in order to get it fixed. It's either that or you can buy a new pan head or quick release adapter. You can find those at www.tripodquickrelease.com, sometimes though pan heads don't come off of a tripod.

Hello i have a vanguard ov-500 i need a quick realese coz i lost my and is there a way to change the qs-10 or top of the tripod for a new one

Im sorry this tripod has a built in mounting screw making it unable to change or alter the head of the tripod for anything else, don't get discouraged though as you can find many tripods for a small amount of money at http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ns=p_PRICE_2%7C0&ci=2635&N=4291756644 just be sure to check and make sure it has an interchangeable or quick release head

How do i place the camera on the tripoid as it does not have a screw connection on top

The tripod comes with a quick shoe, which has a screw connection. The camera, with quick shoe attached, is then inserted into the slot in the pan head.
