Hi, In most cases you will have to gain access from the inside of the door panel, since there is different window options if possible you can go down the window with special tools and pull on the latch to get open.

If they are latches, pry them up with a screw driver. They can be very tight.

Where is the fuel door release on a 1999 ford e150 cargo van

If equipped with an electric release, it should be by the drivers knee panel. Most are not electric and you just push the corner of the fuel door to open

Need detailed diagram of 1998 latch mechanism to remove connections from it

there is no diagram... the latch is also a non-servicable latch, so if your problems in the latch- it needs a latch. i would look more closely at the outside door handle itself as i have seen a few of them break on the E series vans.you may be able to get detailed instructions thru autozone.com or @ autozone. hope this helps and good luck

2001 FORD WINDSTAR MINI-VAN HEADLIGHTS, DOME LIGHT,

The "door is locked" switch mechanism in the driver's door is not engaging when the door is closed. It is inside the door panel and right on the latch. It closes a circuot when the door is latched.

I was able to tighten the mounting on mine with some twist-wire and been right as rain for 3, 4 years now
