My canon pixma ip6000d printer will not turn on

Have you thought that it might just "it's dead, Jim?" Honestly, I have worked on a printer that supports Infra-red connections in ages.

Try the standard "disconnect everything, including power", give it a couple of minutes, just for giggles, then connect just the power cord and make sure the surge protector it's connected to (you do use one, right?) is also switched on. Then try the power switch again. If that doesn't work I don't know what else to suggest. Electronics do age out eventually; printers have been just a buy & replace item because all the makers pull their profits from selling inks. Canon's own Selphy line (for compact photo printers) and current Pixma line are good replacements if you're dedicated to the brand. Personally, I've always preferred Epson for photo printing but that's just me.

Olympus P 400 driver mac 10.84

Olympus has not supported that printer on the Mac in 10+ years. Also checking the Apple printer driver support page I do not see ANY Olympus printers currently supported by Apple: OS Printer and scanner software available for download

I would suggest replacing that printer with a current model photo printer (also Dye-Sub) from Canon. The Canon Selphy Dye-Sub photo printers produce flawless professional glossy prints: Compact Photo Printers

When i hit "print" the

Does the red light blink or stay on sterady?

Issue: The Compact Photo printer power button is blinking red.

Solution: Turn the Compact Photo printer off, then back on again.

"Paper Jam" appears on the digital camera LCD Turn the printer off and disconnect the power cord from the printer. Then reconnect the power cord and power on the printer. If the printer fails to eject the paper, the printer may require service. Contact the Canon Customer Support help desk for assistance.

When you power down I would recommend also unplugging the printer from the power supply (wall outlet). Let it rest 5 - 10 minutes and then plug back in.

The manual says a blinking red power light indicates a problem in the printer, but the only solution provided it to turn off and on.

If there are no paper jams, and no other error messages hoepfully a completr power down will clear the error.

Issue: Printer's power button lights red without the camera's LCD monitor displaying any error message.

There is a malfunction in the printer.

Remove the paper from the paper-handling slot and take up any slack in the ink sheet. Turn the printe's power off and turn it on again.

If none of this helps I would check to see if my driver is current:

I have an EOS Canon 400D digital SLR and my husband has bought me a Sony photo printer DDP-FP75 . I had wanted to be able to insert the memory card but it doesn't seem compatible. Can I print using the...

The two are not immediately compatible. The Canon EOS 400D uses a Compact Flash card. The Sony Photo Printer you have accepts SD and Memory Stick cards. Unfortunately, the CF card and SD card are very different.

The easiest solution I can think of would be for you to get an inexpensive card reader (make sure it accepts Compact Flash cards), attach it to your PC and then use it to read the CF card from your Canon EOS -- and print to your Sony printer.

I hope this helps. If it does, please rate the solution offered. My goal is always FixYa or Helpful, never TFT or IA. Regards,
Char1ieJ
