Are you trying to reset the router password or wireless network password?
Wireless network password is different than router access password.
To change the wireless password, you will need to access the router page and change the settings.

Router paswords are chase and space senitive, Reset the router and choose a different password that not been used. then repower the router, and connect using the new password.

This might happen if you recently reset/changed your internet access (e.g. resetting your modem and changing your access settings such as renaming an SSID access point, changing your access password, etc.). Reinstall the software and configure your network access settings (like you did when you first set up the printer - with USB cable. Refer to your manual).
