My disk isn't spinning at all.

No half turn. no laser movement. nothing. it only goes to the browser menu. it reads my memory card so i know it isn't junk. but i have no idea what is wrong.

The laser may be out of alignment or the peice that tells the Playstation the lid is closed may be broken and not pushing on the sensor. With the lid open take a paper clip and push down on the part where you think it might register it as being closed. If that does not help you may want to take it to a repair shop to have it looked at.

Hi, I have a Samsung Blue Ray home cinema system. When playing a Blue Ray disk it freezes after about an hour and a half. DVD's seem to play no problem. Have tried a cleaning disk but has not

Hi, if your sure it stops in the same time on any disc then i would assume there is something stopping the laser from moving forward.
If your confident opening it things may be obvious, KEEP HANDS AWAY FROM THE MAINS COMING IN.
The laser runs on two metal bars but all the gears are plastic up to the motor. The motor does'nt spin but turns in small movements as the laser reads in front, sometimes the teeth on the gears get clogged up. Let me know how you get on.

PS2 does not read the disc.

Have you cleaned the laser? Try that first and if that dosen't help then your laser might be dead.

there is a small button in the slim that picks up the door open or closed. if the plactic pic on the lid is broke it will read as the door open even if the door is closed. you can takeit apar tand tape down this switch.

Will not read anything

will it spin? if not then the motor hub assembly will need to be replaced if it spins and nothing then the laser assembly will have to be replaced.
