Question about Kodak ESP 5 Printer

ESP7 will not print my yellows.

Prints in pink. Not able to get the bright colors. I have cleaned, re-calibrated etc.

    60 days old, however I did get them online, so who knows the age. At times it will work correctly, but not recently.


    I do plan to go locally and get new cartridges.

Call kodak @ 1800 421 6699 and they will replace the printhead for you free of cost. Replacing the Printhead will solve the issue.

You'll need to calibrate your printer in order for the prints to come out with the correct color. In addition to this, if you're printing from .pdfs, you can set Acrobat to "print as image", this also helps in correcting the colors as they appear on your monitor, although this is NOT as accurate in correcting color as the "calibration" part.

Printer does not print in color but only prints in


Run a "print-head-cleaning-cycle" -- the ink inside the cartridges is not getting through the ink-jets, and is not reaching the paper.

Either that, or the electronics inside the ink-jets are malfunctioning, i.e., not telling the ink-jets to shoot the ink out.

Picture prints too pink


What you see on the screen is quite often not what prints. Sometimes the screen will not show a slight color anomoly. If your pictures were taken with a digital camera, this is quite common. Try the photo enhancement software that came with your camera, or alternately, your printer. They all supply the software because of color corrections that are at times necessary. Sometimes always. Hope that helps. Try the "Auto Correct" function that most photo correction software has. That should help!

CAN NOT PRINT COLOR -PRINTS PINK STRIPES


Take some paper towels, fold them in half, spray them with alcohol FREE glass cleaner and set your color cartrige on the paper towels and let them soak for thirty minutes or so. DO NOT USE ALCOHOL it sets the ink. also clean the thin plastic strip in the back of the print heads this is the encoder strip and it tells the print heads when to dispense if this is dirty from overspray it will affect your print quality. Use q tips and the same alcohol free window cleaner.

Alarm flashes ink emptyhas ink! color was printing only yellow/green now prints only red/pink!


any chance it has dried out? run the test / head cleaning / did you reset the cartridge when you replaced it? generally if one or two colors work - the problem is the ink cartridge or the head for the colors not working. Did you remove the "tape" on the new cartridge?

Calibration not working


When you place the calibration sheet on the scanner glass, make sure you put it with the blue arrow facing the yellow triangle on the scanner. (the page must be, obviously, facing down).

As with the red color issue goes, try replacing the color ink cartridge. If that does not work, contact kodak support to fix the problem (you can go to kodak.com/go/itg for troubleshooting steps)

Kodak aio 5100 all in one just prints red/pink

Printer will only print in purple/pink,enstalled new colour cartridge configured as required,still no change. help thank you


Print out a calibration sheet, either from the menu, or press photo and cancel at the same time. Your calibration sheet is probably missing a color. You should have black, blue, yellow, and magenta(pink). If you're missing any of these colors, your printhead is clogged. Try doing a printhead cleaning. Print another calibration sheet, if the color is still missing, you need a new printhead. Call Kodak.
