I enabled Legacy free on bios and that disabled PS/2 Port mouse and keybord so that I Can't have access to my BIOS to reconfigure it.Please, help me.

you might try resetting the cmos
then you might try using a usb keyboard. I use a usb wireless keyboard with a touchpad and it does the job. Good luck. After you clear the cmos and then turn it back on it should start re-decting the hardware.

My computer won't start up and my mouse and keyboard are not working. Do I need to replace my CMOS Battery?

Yes turn off your computer and replace the Cmos battery. It seems that your keyboard and mouse is connected into the usb port of your computer, the usb function in the Cmos setup is disabled that's why your keyboard and mouse is not working. Upon checking the Cmos setup enabled the usb function and save the changes and restart the computer to take effect.

Make sur ein the bios that the sata ports are enabled. Since the bios was reset during the battery change, the ports may have been disabled.

USB ports do not work

1.) Check your CMOS/Bios settings to see if any USB ports are disabled.

2.) If not, check to see that USB ports show in your operating system's device manager or settings. Enable them if they are disabled. Otherwise, you may need to reinstall the drivers that came with your model of notebook computer.

If using Windows XP, for example, go to Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device Manager, Universal Serial Bus Controllers. If the latter is not present and you have USB enabled in CMOS/Bios, you will need to install the drivers. If "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" is present, look within to see if they are all enabled and working properly.
If not, re-install the drivers.

3.) If the above does not work, you may have bad USB ports that will require service by an authorized repair service for your notebook computer.

USB ports

When you computer boots up you need to enter the cmos mode. Normallly it's the F-8 fuction key, but sometimes it can vary from pc to co. When you get inside the CMOS screen look for the usb ports, they should have a Enable/Disable. I am pretty sure that for some reason, the default is Disable.

Try this and let me know if this fixes the issue.

Disabled USB Ports

Check your manual (hard copy or on-disk) to see if it is necessary to turn them on in your CMOS setup or if it can be done from the Control Panel Hardware manager.

USB Non-responsive

Perhaps its the drivers for the USB ports. Do you have or can you borrow a serial mouse and keyboard (PS/2 style)? If not, perhaps a local computer store may have an adapter to convert your USB devices to PS/2. Look at this site to get a visual of the device I am talking about: http://sewelldirect.com/ps2tousb.asp

This will allow you to bypass the USB portion of your computer and allow you to make the necessary changes in BIOS or to see if it is indeed a driver problem.
