My Toshiba nb505 netbook run with the AC adapter, but will not run on the battery. The battery shows that it is charging but the charging percentage does not increase. Any advice?

I own the Toshiba NB505 netbook and the very same thing was happening to me. Here is what I did to fix my issue:
Step 1: Shut down the computer and remove the battery. Then turn it on but now with the battery out. It should say "battery not detected".
Step 2: Open control panel and open the "device manager". Under "batteries" (the first one), uninstall the one that says "Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery". This is the battery driver.
(Don't worry. The computer will automatically re-install it)
Uninstall the driver and shut down the computer.
Then reinsert the battery and power on the computer. The driver should have re-installed itself. Check to see if the battery is now charging.
(It will take awhile for it to fully charge to 100% Best to shut it down and let it charge. The far left indicator light on the front of the Netbook will turn green when it is fully charged)
Hope this helps. Yeah I had to figure this one out on my own. Toshiba support staff over the phone were useless!
Good luck!!

sounds like the bios battery is dead , it looks like a watch battery and may be soldered to the motherboard. I would trash it and get something newer. any new android phone or tablet would be better.I would suggest the 7 inch fire tablet for $50

Two days ago.videos was working and suddenly the netbook was hang and then i shut down the netbook and after that it is not starting.

Hi,

It is possible that the Samsung Go N315 netbook fails to operate due to lack of system space.

This might lead to sudden shut down in the netbook.

This usually happens due to some unwanted files in the netbook which occupy significant amount of space in the hard disk as well as system memory.

You could resolve the issue by removing all unwanted data through methods like software testing, manual methods etc.

Get more information to fix Samsung Notebook shutdown suddenly . Hope this information helps you.

Good Afternoon,
I'm sorry to hear about your Acer Netbook issues, I have one of these devices myself and love it!
It sounds like your issue is pertaining to either a processor overheating or the RAM in your computer is dead or dying.
Now there is no easy way to check to see if your processor is overheating and the only way to test Laptop ram is by purchasing new RAM (just bring the netbook into a computer store and say you need new RAM for it, they'll open it up and see what it takes) which should be fairly inexpensive. Have them install it or install it yourself if you know how that's done and see if the laptop is back to normal functionality.
If the issue still remains, it's the processor that's having issues. If you're in this spot, you can simply return the RAM you purchased back to the store (keep the packaging and do it very soon after you made the purchase).
At that point you'll want to send the device in for warranty, and it should be covered as long as it hasn't sustained any physical damage.
Best of Luck with your situation!

It says windows now shuttin dwn and its frozen like that

If this only happens once, then it is probably a resource problem, like ashortage of memory to correctly shut down all apps and OS. Hold the power button in to shut the system down. When you reboot, just click on normal startup, run system for a while and go through the proper shut down sequence to see if the problem repeats itself. If it doesn't then it was just a temporary resource allocation problem.

Systems shut down

Sounds like a software error, Try using system restore to set back the pc to an earlier time. Also try starting up in safe mode and uninstall any software that you may have installed.
