Compaq nx7300 not pass f10=rom based setup

That sounds like the laptop has lost data in the BIOS.
Run the BIOS and check the hard drive is listed, save the information with F10 and boot.
If it isn't listed change the hard drive.

My compaq evo nc620c laptop wont boot up, only goes to the "compaq" log screen from where I can go into F10 rom based setup or F12 network boot only.

Without having seen it, it sounds like a hard drive problem. Could be dead, could be the boot info has been destroyed (virus?).

ROM setup should be able to tell you more about the hard drive, and whether Setup can see it.

I have a hp compaq nc8000 that is wigged out on me. The computer was fine in the mornig and when i turned it on later it went to a screen that tells me windows did not start succesfully and say a couple...

Hold your power button down until it shuts off. Turn it back on and let it scan to fix the problem itself. It may ask your permission to do this or automatically do it, just do it. Should fix the problem.

When I turn on the laptop sometimes the screen doesn't come up and when it does come up it says F10=ROM Based Setup. When I press F10 nothing happens.

Sounds like the hard disk is not able to boot the laptop.
ROM based setup means you need to reset or reconfigure the BIOS.
Assuming the BIOS battery is OK.
This could be because the hard disk itself died, you can remove the disk and attach it to a USB adapter (cheap to purchase) then connect it to another PC. If you can read the disk OK in another PC then you have a motherboard problem.
