Question about Dell Vostro 1000 Laptop
How do I move all desired files from my Dell Vostro 1000 Laptop to my new Toshiba Laptop? The Dell no longer has wireless capability or a wireless configuration utility, so it is now useless, but has photos and favorite links I would like to have on my Toshiba Laptop now. How do I transfer these, old computer to new?

The Dell QuickSet utility Wireless options can cause these issues.
There is a setting to always deactivate on battery. Make sure this is not set up. The correct setting would be Always active on battery or Always On, or no power saving options for Wi-Fi. Depending on the version of QuickSet which you have.
It is known to glitch when power is removed from the machine while the wireless is in use.
Please let us know if you have any futher questions. If this information was helpful, please take a moment to rate the solution. Thank you.
