Can you move the cursor at all? (With keyboard, or other mouse). Is it connected to the correct port? If yes, your port on the MB is bad.

Make sure your not using it on a highly reflective surface. Use a mouse pad , or use it on a dull surface.

Dear Sir: I have an IMAC that was purchased in January 2010. When using Safari for Web Searches and google searches, its a struggle to get it to find the website or when you do a google search, then double...

Click on system preferences the picture of 3 grey gears on your task bar. Then select mouse. look to see how you have double-click speed setup. Try sliding the bar to the speed of your liking. The bars Default is right in the middle.

If it is just not working in Safari select your Apple in the top left finder screen. Click on apple once select software update. It is safe to let any download auto-update since it is direct from apple. If you have never done this it might take a long time. You will always have to type in your password or hit enter if none is set up. The newer apple mouse rarely fails but since the click button not on top it takes some getting used to. The whole mouse is a button.

I have also seen the zoom level to far away and the double clicking being a bit hard to get right until you zoom in more.

The screen 'moves' with the mouse... i move mouse left, the screen moves right etc

1. Click on the Apple menu at the top, left corner of your screen.
2. Click "System Preferences".
3. Click "Universal Access".
4. Turn Zoom off. The keyboard shortcut is Command-Option-8.

Zoom is a nice feature if you want to see something close-up, but it's not nice if you can't figure out how to turn it off!

Good luck! Please rate me if this solves your problem.

Open folders disappear off side or topof desktop

Possible solution: Click "System Preferences" in the Apple menu in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. Click "Expose' & Spaces". It was called "Dashboard and Expose'" in previous OS versions.

Look at the Expose' section. If you see anything about a mouse button next to "Show Desktop", click on it and change it to "-" (dash). I'm guessing this feature is mapped to one of your mouse buttons, such as the middle button. Clear that, and you won't be triggering it accidentally.

Hope that makes sense.

Good luck!

Any solution for apple wireless mouse not able to scroll-happens frequently-I do all the usual things, ie: cleaning scroll ball with a toothbrush, alcohol, etc. Works for a while, sometimes an hour, day,...

if you're having issues with a "mighty mouse" let me tell you that no matter how well you clean it, the problem will continue. If you can't get a free replacement from Apple, the best experience for us at my office has been to move to Logitech bluetooth mice. Logitech V270 Cordless Optical Bluetooth Mouse works great and you have all the functions you need like scrolling, right and left click, etc.

Easy way to reset the dock and return it to the same way it was when new:

Delete the files and from homedirectory/Library/Preferences and restart Dock. To restart Dock enter the following command in terminal:

killall Dock

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe
