Try pushing in on the edge of the card. Most HP camera cards 'click-in' to lock into position. You must push in on the edge of the card to get the lock to release the card. You should hear a 'click' when it releases. Remove your finger (or whatever you used to push the edge of the card in), and the card should pop up & out a tiny bit. Just enough for you to grab it and remove it.

Shutter-release button doesn't work

The manual only can give two reasons why the camera would not take pictures.
One, there is no memory card placed.
Two, the memory card is full.
You are sure you have placed a working empty memory card.
If you did save all the pictures on the memory card to a computer, try formatting the card in the camera.
When you are pressing the shutter release button half, does the camera say it is focused correct? light bottom corner of the display.
Your camera has a setting to take pictures with a remote control. Did you put the camera in that setting? Read page 76 of the manual.

My card got stuck in my camera how do i take it out?

sir it's simple please follow my instructions

Instructions
  1. To remove the battery from your digital camera, you need to place your thumb on the rubber grip on the bottom of the camera where it says CARD/BATT.OPEN>.
  2. Now applying pressure slide this little door outwards away from the body of the camera and it should click and release. The door stays attached, but now you can swing it out of the way to access both the battery and the SanDisk memory card.
  3. At this point you will see the battery and the small SanDisk memory card in the recess. Push down gently onto the top of the memory card until it clicks.
  4. This will release it and it will spring up about a quarter inch so that you can grasp it and pull it out of the camera. Pull the memory card out of the camera.
  5. Lastly, be careful with the memory card, it is easy to lose and very delicate!

Why do some memory cards not work in this camara, but the same card works in another camara?

When this camera was released, it used the forerunner to the SD Memory card, the MMC or Multimedia Card. Unlike the SD card which has an on-board memory controller, the MMC does not, and generally maxes out at 128MB, even though you can now get bigger cards. With this, the camera and not the memory card is probably limiting the amount of memory that it can access, hence why you can use the card in one item and not another.

I hoped this helped.

Error code says press shutter release button again

I e-mailed nikon for this same problem. Their solution was to take out the memory card and press the shutter release button in the demo mode. To get to the demo mode you first need to go to custom menu/controls/no memory card?/press ok/ arrow down to enable release and press ok. Now you are ready to try solving this problem. Press the shutter release button to see if it will reset the shutter release button. I haven't tried it yet but it is worth a try.

D90: Can't remove memory card.

This will need to be returned to a camera store. A jammed card can cause permanent damage to the camera as well as the card.
