you havenot installed drum cartridge properly inside the machine or you have installed the drum cartridge of Xerox 5816/5821.

SOURCE: J3 error On Xerox WorkCentre Pro - 215

A J3 means the toner cartridge is not compatible. That is the what the J3 message means.
Make sure the correct cartridge has been installed. For example, a Pro16 Toner Cartridge looks very similar and will fit in the machine, but it will display a J3 fault. Install a known correct Toner Cartridge if you suspect the cartridge in the machine is the problem. If the wrong Toner Cartridge has been used, the correct cartridge needs to be ordered and installed in the machine
It is possible the chip on the back of the cartridge is bad. Have you tried reseating the cartridge? Maybe it is just loose.

Xerox workcentre 5020/Dn c1 error


i have one xerox 5020 machine, there is display showing C1 error code in first tray and C3 error code in bypass tray .if open and close the machine will be idle and ready to cpoy. there is no paper pick up in both trays. please help to resolve the problem.

I have Xerox 5016 model Photocopier , I am getting Error U4 ,some technican from Xerox advised that it can be solved by pressing some button ..? If anyone can support would be a great help.


Enter into the diagnostic mode.Press 50 then green button,press 20 then green button,press 00 then green button.Switch off the machine & Switch On.

@basanta711, Press 0 for 5 seconds then press green (start) then 50, green, 20 green, 0, green then on/Off the printer........... problem is solved
