Question about Mitsubishi WD-65733 65" HDTV
We changed the dlp chip 2 days ago, cleaned out all of the dust from fans and vents and the tv worked fine. got up yesterday turned on the tv the solid orange status light came on. checked to see what the error code was and it is 38.

let it start up you will here things happening, engine will start first then a buzz to start the lamp if you here all of this you have a bad lamp.You should have a error code let the tv try to start leave it alone and see if you have an error. As soon as you reset the tv you loose the error.

ok what you have there is a faulty thernal sensor nitisubishi has issuued a bullitten to serice centers so check with local service center the repair might be covered under warennty

The only thing that could cause the yellow light to blink after the new lamp is that the lamp lid or access door is not placed correctly or there might be some debris between the door and the door seat to where the door sensor switch is not being activated or the switch is erratic. Try using some compressed air to clean the switch and the door seat, that might do it for you. Thanks!
