I want to help but I am a bit confused. First of all just to provide you with additional info, there are basically three criteria that cause a need to replace the drum. One ,as in your case,is when the waste toner level reaches a level that the waste toner sensor gets covered with toner and it gives you the prompt you received. What happens is that despite the fact that in an ideal world ALL of the the image that is formed on the drum to be transferred to the paper actually does transfer completely and therefore no waste. Real world is that a small portion of the image remains on the drum and is cleaned off and deposited "into" the cavity of the drum where the waste toner receptacle resides and the waste toner sensor does as well. Once the waste toner sensor sees an excessive level it generates the prompt you received and the cpu begins to count pages (and I'll be d$%&ED if I can find the exact number) and if the drum is not replaced the device will give an error code and shut down. We will return to this topic in a moment as it is truly the source of our dillema. The second reason to replace the drum is that copy quality has turned to ****. The 1023 drum is good for........laugh with me as to how they determined this number, 26,900 copies. Not 26k. not 27k. Collective ROFL. This second criteria manifests itself in just crappy looking copies, and the end user calls for copy quality problems. The third reason is the abstract. For example a foreign object damages the drum. This includes the human hand.LOL.
So, after all that hot air I just expelled I am at a loss as to why you are still getting an error message. The new drum should have satisfied all the requirements as the waste toner sensor is happy now, and there is no counter that needs to be reset. I am sorry that I could not be of more help. I know you will cuss me for saying this, but, power off and power on and see if that helps. And we cannot eliminate the fact that the waste toner sensor that resides in the drum unit is bad. Entirely possible.AND...remember that the cpu is counting only sheets of paper not toner usage. So if the copier thinks the waste toner is full, and it does not "see" that everything is ok now, it will give you an E-19 error code after so many sheets of paper pass by. I looked in the service manual and could not find a finite number of copies after the waste toner sensor gets pissed. Then the machine goes wheels up. Hi there maximum time we found it is a the head problem. The print head is what the cartridges sit in inside of the printer. For resolve the problem please follow these.
Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over. Some how if its not come then Unplug the printer & Manually slide the carriage.
Now Remove the ink cartridges from the print head & Use wet warm cotton swab or use alcohol to thoroughly clean the print head.
Repeat this until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab. After finished it make the head dry then fix it back. Now Try to print something now
If that does not work then follow the next step.
Remove the printer data cable & restart the PC & printer. Then fit back the data cable & turn on the printer. Hope that's start working , if no luck then Uninstall the printer driver & restart the PC & Printer both again. Now install the driver of the printer and connect it with PC ,Turn on printer & go for a test print from the printer preference. Thanks & waiting for your reply.

There are two contact on the right wall off the printer cartridge chamber area. They can get pushed in causing the printer cartridge to not read correctly. Take a small Flathead screwdriver and bend them up so the cartridge ink level can be read.

The cover is opened. Close the cover.
There is no paper in the tray. Load paper in the tray.
The machine has stopped due to a major error.
Your system has some problems. If this problem occurs, contact your service representative.
A minor error has occurred and the machine is waiting for the error to be cleared. When the problem is cleared, the machine resumes.
Small amount of toner is left in the cartridge. The estimated cartridge life[a] of toner is close. Prepare a new cartridge for replacement. You may temporarily increase the printing quality by redistributing the toner. (See Redistributing toner.)
