Question about Yamaha Remote Control RXV2500 p/n:WD108500

1 Answer

Replacement remote will not bring up menu on unit.

Everything else seems to work, but the button that brought up the menu on the original remote does not bring it up, nor does any other button. As a workaround is there a way to bring up the menu without the remote?

I have a Sanyo Flatscreen, the original remote was lost. Now when I turn on the TV the picture is to big to fit. HOW do I adjust it without the remote?

use the menu button on the side of the tv
that brings up the screen menu
using the channel and volume buttons move around until you find aspect ratio
find the one that fits the screen and press the menu button to save and exit
it could be a pixel setting so find pixel settings while the menu is on the scree and adjust to the correct pixel setting
there are plenty of remotes for tv units on e-bay
all you have to do is select one that is for sanyo led/lcd tv's and read the details to see it it works your model tv

Most RCA and GE TV sets use a four digit code to control the v-chip. The code reset procedure is different depending on the model. Try each method until you find one that works: Hold down MENU on the remote and VOLUME DOWN on the TV it?s self at the same time for at least 4 seconds. The set won't say so, but the lock will be unlocked Hold down the 0 on the remote and the VOLUME DOWN buttons on the TV its self at the same time for at least 4 seconds. The set won't say so, but the lock will be unlocked Hold down the MENU button on the front of the TV and the TV button on the remote at the same time for at least 4 seconds. Hold down GO BACK on the remote and MENU on the front of the TV at the same time for at least 4 seconds. Hold down EJECT on the front of the TV and the MENU button on the remote at the same time for at least 4 seconds. Depending on the model, one of the methods should unlock the V-chip. Now, if desired, you can change the settings on the V-chip by going to the MENU and going to PARENTAL CONTROLS, or on some sets, going to MENU and then going to TV SETUP, then to V-CHIP SET.

Hi
The software version decides the function that coincide with remote signal. If the remotes' infrared signal frequency differ to the receiving spctrrum of the software, it won't work well. You must have the remote of the present TV itsef to work in coincide with the button actions. Just get it. There is no other way. OK.

on some models the menu button is on the front disguised as the volume up/down or channel up/down buttons. you have to push both up/down buttons on either one of these to bring up the menu.

Remote not connecting

If you still have the original remote for the DMR-E80H, you can switch it back to operate with "1 CHK REMOTE" codes by holding down the "Enter" button on the remote and then press the "1" key.

If you don't still have the original remote, you can try the same steps on your universal remote (assuming it also has an "enter" key that worked with your recorder) and it could work.
