SOURCE: Battery door broken

Yes i have fixed it. Sorry for my spell, but i try. First i kutt off the little broken plastic-bits with a knife. Demontage the four skrews in the battery flip. I take a little bit stainless string ca 0,5 mm dia and ca 20mm long. I hold this string with a handtool (tong)and put a soldering-heater on the end off the string and pusch the string troth down two times and get two holes there the two tabs have been. And after that a bend with a tong the string like an U (2x90 degrees) exaktly after the hole-with. And after that a pusch down the string in the two holes exaktly so high so the little finger on the battery-door go in. Test and try with the battery-door. And take a thinn tong and bend out the string to the left and to the right inside the kamera. Thats it. Work with care and slow and exaktly with mm-tholeranse. Good luck !!

SOURCE: Cordless Mouse #CE0682

The mouse is not supposed to go off when the computer is turned off. But it does have three modes so that it can recognize the power it needs to use: in use mode, temporary not in use mode, and long-term or overnight not in use modes. The red light should flicker in the second mode and should dim in the third mode. If you want to save batteries though, you can keep taking them out.

SOURCE: sentry s3877 battery compartment broke

I had the same problem with my Sentry S3877. I found the exact 4-battery replacement (with snap attachment on top!) at an online electronics.retailer, but had to purchase a lot of three. I don't need the other two, so I'll sell them for just $6 each to the first two folks to contact me

Oh, by the way, once the batteries went dead, you lost your combination! When you pop the new battery compartment in, the factory default combination will be in effect. That default combination is in your user's manual. I'm currently searching frantically for mine! Gee, how could I have misplaced it ... I just had it in my hands when I purchased the safe 10 years ago !!!

Anyone know the default combo for the S3877?

Engine shut down when a shift to neutral

The throttle body is contaminated and carbon fouled. To clean the throttle body do the following:
1. Take the key out of ignition cylinder and put it out side the car.
2. Remove the battery negative terminal.
CAUTION: Before removing the negative terminal keep in mind that you have to relearn the some systems like idle speed relearn, clock reset, navigation system relearn (if any) and windows relearn.
3. Remove the air filter hose.
4. Wrap a fiber free cloth around your index finger, dip it in a clean solvent like gasoline (keep the gasoline container well capped, away from open flame or fire and in cool open air) NOTE: pour all the remaining gasoline back into the car fuel tank immediately after finishing your job.
4. Force the throttle plate against the spring to wide open it and hold it open by placing a wooden or plastic screw driver head on one side to keep it open and care fully wipe off the carbon from opposite side of the screw driver head. Now place the screw driver head on the other side which you have recently cleaned and similarly clean the carbon deposits from the other side. Hold the throttle plate with your finger head and take the screw driver out. DO NOT PLACE YOUR FINGER BETWEEN THE THROTTLE PLATE AND THE INNER WALL OF THE BARREL OF THROTTLE BODY, OTHER WISE YOU WILL INJURE YOUR FINGER..
As I have said hold the plate on the area between the outer edge and the center rod of the throttle plate, to hold it for a while, slowly release the plate and carefully take your finger out.
5. Install the air filter hose.
6. Clean the element air cleaner with compressed air.
7. Sit on a driver's seat, close all doors, lower the driver side window, place the gear in neutral or Parking, pull up the hand brake, lift your foot from brake pedal, close all the accessories like radio, room light, parking light and start the engine.
8. Hold the engine speed at 3000 rpm till the radiator fan comes on.
9. As the radiator fan comes on,release the accelerator peddle and let it idle for 10 minutes to complete the idle speed relearn process.

I have a Logitech LX-6 cordless optical mouse. Lately it's been double clicking when I press the left button - not always, but often enough that it's irritating. I'd like to take it apart and clean the...

Quite often there is a label on the bottom and this hides a screw which holds the mouse together. If there is a label on the bottom, try rubbing your finger over it to see if you can feel a hole underneath. Also on the bottom are plastic glide pads which help the mouse to move freely. If there is a large one towards the back then it may also hide a screw. Use a thin blade to lift off the glide pad and hopefully the sticky layer will remain sticky to make it easier to put back.

Mouse will not charge when put in the base

I have a very bad solution about this, but it works on my mouse that also doesn't work. Try to put a tiny bit of water ( or spit Oo ) on the little, usually copper, receivers on the mouse. That makes for a better contact. Just get your finger wet and touch those receivers.

Change battery

If you look at the top of the mouse, you'll see left and right buttons, scroll wheel and a big piece that makes up the rest of the top. The back of the top moves farther back and up. You hold it with your fingers under the front of the mouse and your thumb on the center behind the scroll wheel, and gently push back on the large piece of plastic (where your palm normally rests).

If the mouse works fine, then there's no problem with the wireless donggle. If there are some keys that are not working, you need to contact the manufacturer for RMA.

Wireless keyboard stopped working; mouse still does though

on this key boards problem is that they key pad circuit board has no mechanical connection or wire connection it merely lays across the circuit board loosing contact that's why if you squeeze the bach it starts working again

Used FE-170 hardly powering on.

The lens need to be replaced or repaired. It is not fully extending. It may be that one or more of the plastic gears or plastic rods that hold the gears in place, are broken. I repaired two plastic rods in my lens, by drilling holes for new plastic rods,(I cut plastic rods from a plastic toilet bowl chain!!! It fit inside the gears perfectly), and super glue the rods in place. Replaced gears, put camera back together and BAM in worked! Nothing like a perfectly working refurbished rig job. Camera takes great pictures to this day.
