Question about Computers & Internet
My computer already has this protection built. I cannot afford two of the same thing. Please cancel and refund the amount paid. In reality, I can't afford to spend this amount on my computer at all. I live on Social Security alone.
Contact the people you send the laptop to, say you want to cancel and Im sure they will

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

you can get free virus protection, this link will take you to one at Cnet: http://download.cnet.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-Free-Edition/3000-2239_4-10320142.html
As for cost of purchased protection, I have seen Mcafee going for around $30 at discount stores for a basic firewall and virus protection package.
There are others out there just do a search, try to stay with known download sites. The warnings you are seeing are usually false. They are usually a attempt to get you to run a free virus scan. If you run these, some of them will install malware on your computer. The fact you are seeing these can indicate you have malware. I ran into a variation of this a year ago. Every time I booted internet explorer a warning would pop up along with a request to run a free scan from Vista2008 Virus Scan. This group has of course changed names and tactics since than but there are still people running this scam.
When I got into to that mess I was running with out protection. To fix it I hit it full guns. I backed up everything and reformatted and installed and made sure I installed virus protection. I don't recommend this unless you know you have all your installation discs and have backed up everything on your computer.
You may have a real mess depending on what kind of **** ended up on your system. I would recommend running your choice of the spybot and malware detecting software, again get them from known sites and read the reviews, they will tell you a lot. The nasty thing about some of the malware out there, is that it keeps downloading new stuff to you computer. It can be almost if not impossible to get rid of so don't expect virus scan to fix this problem by itself the first try.

If you mean how do you load the Norton's on your Netbook? That means you don't have access to usb CD/DVD drive. You can go to Norton's website from the Netbook and download the 2011 trail software then when it asks you to upgrade to full version you can add the product key for the third PC. This has worked for me.
