This can happen for a few reasons. the first being overload of the washer with to much wash items, the second being the washer is not sitting level on the floor. u can use a small level and level from side to side and from front to back using the adjusting feet on bottom of washer. also could be that the load of wash is not balanced in the tub. This happens more on a top load washer than a front load. hope this helps

SOURCE: Bad shacking during the spin cycle

Remove top of machine and check the centralising springs are still attatched. If springs ok tilt machine against the wall after unplugging from the wall socket and check the shock absorbers. One of them could have jumped out of the guides. If shockies are ok, check the spider for cracks/breaks. The spider is the cast part that holds the outside drum in place. To check this you will have to remove the back plate.

Ensure the washer is level by rocking it. If its level should'nt be able to move. You may have a weak floor. to checks this look to see if anything is vibrating around the washer.

Most out of balance problems are from the clothes in it. Stop it, move the clothes around - kind of even out the load and try again.

SOURCE: Shakes on spin cycle

yes bad struts can cause this problem also if you have it on carpet you would be better off cutting a piece of plywood for it to sit on as it will shake when sitting on carpet most of the time

GE WDSR2080D5WW wont spin or agitate

The coupling might be bad. Take cabnet off by removing 2 screws from counsel, then flip up and pop 2 clips and the cabnet will pull away from machine. Then pop 2 clips off pump down in front of machine then take the 2 quarter inch screws out of the 2 clips holding motor then you'll see coupling. Any questions call Chris's r Repair at 716-258-1944

The wasing machine shakes badly when in a spin cycle.\r\n970-C45092-00

Hi

First check if the machine is level .Also makes sure you do not have an unbalanced load. Lint filter between the tubs is loose/broken, tub nut and drive block is worn, bad brake, worn spin tub are some various reasons when washer shakes in spin cycle.

No spinning on any of my spin cycles

If this is the Roper top load washer, you probably need a new motor coupler. Always unplug your appliance before repairing. There are two screws located on the front corners of the control panel. Remove these screws and tilt the control panel back. There are two clips holding the cabnet to the rear panel. Remove the two clips and remove the wiring harness with the 3 wires going to the cabnet. Tilt the cabnet forward and remove. Remove the two clips holding the pump in place and remove the pump from the motor. Remove the two screws hold the two clips holding the motor on. Remove the clips and the motor. Using a large screw driver remove the white plastic coupling from the rear motor shaft and the other half on the transmission shaft. Tap the new coulpler on with the end of a 3/8 socket extention so that the face of the plastic coupler is flush with the shaft. Insert the rubber part of the coupler in between the two halv'es of the coupler and reinstall the motor.
Reinstall the pump and put the cabnet back on. Reinstall the clips holding the cabnet on and the wiring harness. Tilt the control panel back in place and replace the two screws. Plug your maching back in and test. I hope this helps.

Washer wont spin

Did you check the motor coupling. It is a round plastic coupler that joins the motor too the transmission. This is on the direct drive washer only. Remove the cabnet by removing two screws on the console. Tilt console up and undo wiring harness from cabnet (3wire plug). take off two gold clips holding cabnet to back panel and tilt cabnet forward to remove cabnet.
Remove two clips holding pump onto motor and pull pump off of motor.
Remove two screws on clips for motor. Puy off two clips. Remove wiring harness off motor and remove motor.
You now have access to motor coupler. Pry coupler half off motor and half off of transmission. Replace with new ones gently tapping on with a socket extention and a small hammer. Just tap on till motor shaft is flush with edge of coupling half. Insert rubber like coulper between the motor and transmission coupler and reinstll everything in reverse.

very loud in spin cycle can mean a bad rear bearing, not something a homeowner would want to try to replace, parts would exceed 6-7 hundered dollars. you may have some extended part warr through the manufacture. still probly gonna be a 5 hundred when the labor is added in
