Remote problems

it is possible that your tv IR circuit is the problem could be that a cap needs to replace.as posted by you saying that when you plug in the tv the remote works, that means voltage charge up the cap and the tv works with the remtoe but as soon as you switch off the tv the cap discharge the stored voltage so you will have to plug in the tv for the cap to charge, and in order for the remote to activate the tv.that cap can be found just near the IR diode.good luck.

We were watching TV and the TV just turned itself off. We try turning it back on and we have a black screen for 10 seconds and then the TV turns itself off again. Called Sanyo and they said to unplug it...

Yes,unplug, replug the tv an hour later. The tv should reset itself back to factory setting and work. Not,than the tv power supply board have problems. That the board, where the power a/c coard plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Tv wont turn on

take your tv to technician who can check your power supply, if your power is coming on and off, than a problem is not as big. firstly let him check a ht of a supply constantly, your supply is cutting.

TV won't turn on

Hi there!
First of all what kind of TV is this? If a standard CRT, it could really be anything from power supply to processing or Line Stage, etc. My suggestion is to either check your warranty or taking it to a repair technician near you. If still under warranty it may be a factory fault which can be repaired for free, depending on the conditions in your area of residence. Good Luck, JUS004

I had a half power outage where everything turned half off, how I still dont know. Anyways I unpluged it and didn't plug it back in until the next day. When I did the timer light was blinking for an hour. I unpluged it for a couple hours more, then I plugged it in and waited for 1 min, unplugged it and repeated, then I plugged it and unplugged it 3 or 4 times in a row, plugged it back in and waited. 1 min. then poof the tv worked. YAAAAAA HOOOOOO!!!!
