By re-plunging the TV; you're making a hard reset to it each time. If it is so, the TVs' main system control IC, or its memory IC must have faulty. Anyway, troubleshooting to this type of fault will be somewhat difficult even for an experienced service technician. This is not a user repairable fault. Contact any service technician to make it repaired. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy. Surf the site with patience. You probably have one or more burned-out electrolytic capacitors in the power supply. Any competent electronic technician can replace them. The capacitors are usually priced between $0.40 and $2.00 at major electronic component distributers such as Digi-Key or Mouser Electronics. Make sure the replacements are selected for long life, high temperature rating and high ripple current. I use Panasonic FR1 series or United Chemi-con EKZN series capacitors for this application.

Burned-out electrolytic capacitors usually have the top of the can domed out instead of flat, and may have brown or black stuff leaking out of the vent scores. The photo below shows two typical capacitors with black plastic sleeves around the can. The one on the left is good, the one on the right is bad.

How do I reset my Phillips TV if it will not come on?

Try unplugging all your tvs from mains and keep unplugged for a few hours. try to plug back in and attempt to turn on. See if this trick works. Likely there could be some internal damage in power supply or it could be fuses.

you have tripped the tv's safety power down feature, try unplugging the tv for 15 mins to an hour then try to turn it back on, if it still ceases to function, the tv will need servicing.

My TV does not power up when the power button is pressed.

It's sounds like your lamp or backlight has went out, I suggest reading your manual for service info and look online for a local repair shop.

Mitsubishi WS-55807 Won't Turn On

The TV is on protect mode. The clicking sound is the protection switchthat keep turning the TV off to prevent further damage, this happenswhen a fault had been detected.

Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.

Alsoensure that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sendingbad signal, check if you get same problem with no receiver boxor dvd connected.

If that does not work, and you keep having a flashingled on front of the TV, and tv turning off by itself after a while, that indicates a fault condition.

The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible reasons.

1Theinternal circuits are jammed because of electrostaticcharges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage readby the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started theprotection circuit.

2 The protection circuit detected a wrongvoltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in, startingthe flashing light.

If you are in situation one, then theTV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours, sometimes even minutes.

If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.

Common faultsthat can occur are a blown capacitor on power board, aconvergence IC has blown, or a fault on Digital board.

Check alsothe video cable or any external connection cable, if the cable is shorting, or the connector is bad, youcan get same flashing state because of the video cable.

If under warranty contact the manufacturer ringing the number on the user manual

Toshiba TN55X81 Wont turn on but I hear clicking

Pull the three connectors to the yokes on the convergence board. If the set powers up, it's a good chance the STK392-110's need to be replaced. I fixed one today, and it has been running for 6 hours now.
