SOURCE: Water not draining out of

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean (ref manual). There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.

Rate me pl.....if helped. Click on 'thanks for trying' if not helped, your prob will be back for someone else to solve.

SOURCE: I cleaned out the fluff filter on my Miele W1918

hi,

the fluff filter just needs hand tightening up a bit more to stop the leak. if not there could be a bit of fluff trapped between the seals. Remove it again and have another look. Make sure also you don't cross thread the fluff flter which makes it feel like it is screwed in properly when it isn't

Miele w340 coming up error check drain ..there is no problem with the pump or the pipes as have given the pump a direct feed the pump is good and the water drains out as it should within 60 seconds

Hi dear.
Try out followings see if it helps.(if you know what you are doing.).
1-Unplug machine from power.Remove the fluff filter. Pour some water in to drum and monitor how quickly comes out amount of water poured in to drum. If it's slow there is a blockage between tub to fluff filter hose.
2- There is a non return valve on the machine. When you remove top cover, it's located back LHS. Remove the part but careful not the drop tiny ball inside of it. Check for blockage. Another hose comes from front to middle of LHS panel and joins Y shape attachment. Check that hose also for blockage. Try to blow air in it while keeping fluff filter open. If its blocked, needs properly cleaning.
I hope that helps. Thanks.

After washes it displays check detergent. some washes are also not spinning properly and cloths are still quite wet. Can you help I have a miele gala grande w 3000

Hi dear.
Basically you can check fluff filter otherwise you may need to have a technical assist. Fluff filter located on front LHS bottom corner of your machine.. Open plastic cover. Place small bowl under fluff filter area to collect about 2 Lt of water. Slowly turn fluff filter anticlockwise to let it drain remaining water in there.. Then remove it and check for blockage. ( Step by step You can get full instruction from your machine's user manual on cleaning and care section.) If that does not solve the issue you may call Miele to assist you or local repairer. I hope that helps.Thanks.

How do I clean the filter on the Novotronic W 310 Miele washing machine

Cleaning the fluff filter and pump
Check the fluff filter initially after 3 - 4 washes to ascertain how often it is likely to require cleaning. With normal cleaning approx. 2 litres of water run out.

If the drain outlet is clogged, more water will be retained in the machine (up to 25 litres).

Caution: if laundry has been washed at a high temperature,
water draining out of the machine will still be hot!

Take the (yellow) filter flap opener from behind the detergent drawer facia panel. Open the flap.

Place a dish under the drain fixture. Turn the fluff filter lid round 2 - 3
times. Do not take it right out.

With large volumes of water when the dish is full, screw the fluff filter back into position and empty the dish before repeating the procedure.

Once the flow of water ceases, remove the fluff filter completely and
clean it.
Remove any foreign bodies (e.g. buttons, coins, etc.) and fluff.
Turn the impeller by hand to check that it is free to rotate. Any foreign objects causing an obstruction should be removed.

Clean the inside of the fluff filter housing. Remove any deposits of lime scale and detergent or foreign bodies from the thread of the filter housing and filter unit (as these objects can cause a leakage
of water). Put the fluff filter back and screw it in firmly.
Cleaning and care

To clean the water inlet filters
The washing machine has two filters to protect the inlet valves. These filters should be checked every 6 months or so, or more often if there are frequent interruptions to the water supply.

To clean the filter in the union in the open end of the inlet hose:
First turn off the stopcock.
Unscrew the threaded union connecting the free end of the inlet hose to the stopcock.
Remove the rubber seal from the recess. Using pointed pliers, take hold of the plastic filter bar, remove the filter and clean.

Put the filter and seal back in the reverse order and reconnect the
hose. Turn on the stopcock and check the connection is watertight.
Inspect the inlet hose which is subjected to high pressure while the machine is in operation. The hose should be replaced if there are small cracks in the surface, or if it has been otherwise damaged.

If replacing the inlet hose only use a hose able to withstand pressure up to 70 bar. Miele's own hoses meet this requirement.

To clean the filter in the water inlet valve:
Using pliers, carefully loosen the ribbed plastic nut on the inlet valve,
and unscrew.
Use water pump pliers to withdraw the plastic filter by the bar.
Clean, put back and secure.
The two filters must be put back in place after cleaning.

Miele Novotronic W 833 won't drain

hi,

if your washing machine drains into a spigot in the u bend under your sink you will probably find a blockage here. you need to remove the drain hose and have a look in the hole.

if not when you remove the fluff filter have a look in the hole and make sure the drain pump turns freely. you can also run a drain spin cycle with the fluff filter removed and make sure the drain pump is working.

My miele novotronic W 1918 has a bad smell. Is there a filter that i should clean? Can't find it.

There is a fluff filter in the bottom left hand corner behind the flap. have a small tray, like a baking tray underneath it and open the flap with a flat lever or the miele yellow key. Turn the tap about 1/4 of a turn and collect about a litre of water from the unit. when it has stopped draining unscrew the tap all the way out and clean the fluff filter which is the tap in your hand. also have a look in the hole and you will see the drain pump. make sure this is free of any foreign particles and then re-screw the tap back making sure it is tight.
To avoid the smell in the unit run the machine on a few 95c washes. you can use a cleaner or just white vinegar as a cleaning agent. after every wash keep the door open for about 30 mins to let it dry out as shutting the door is then a perfect enviroment for bacteria to develop and the smell.

Also check the door seal for any foreign particles every wash.

Hope this helps.

Front loading washing machine won't drain properly

Have you tried opening the little door at the front of the machine, that leads to the drain filter? You'll see a stopper that needs to be turned anti-clockwise to open it. Make sure you have a container placed to catch the water that will flow out!!! You might find some small articles, coins, buttons, fluff in the filter. Remove them and your machine should work properly again. If that didn't work for me I would call in the professionals.
