Hey Dude,

All things are fixable. Try going into recovery mode. This is done by Pressing and holding the R button when powering up the PSP. You then can press the brightness control button to see the firmware. This might help you reboot the PSP. If it is worst than this, you may consoder sending it back to Sony for repair, although they usually do not want to fix a Squooshed PSP. I would not tell them you Sat on it. You can call SONY support at 1-800-345-7669.
If you cannot get them to Repair it, you can check out my website, . I can fix it for a very reasonable price.

    Hey Dude,

Glad you got it running again. On the UMD drive. Get a Q-tip and some window glass cleaner. Lightly dampen the swab with the Glass cleaner, and swab the lens of the UMD laser. Use a dry Q-tip to dry the lens. Hopefully this will get it back to reading UMD's I have some other tricks up my sleeve if that doesn't work. just comment back.

    Hey Dude,

Do not use rubbing alcohol on the Lens. That is only for Glass lens like the older Big PS2 uses.

Press the little Black probe sticking up in the UMD drive. It is about 3/4 inch from left and 3/4 inch from top of the UMD drive. When you press it, look for the Disc spindle to rotate, and the Laser to light up and the Laser movement to occur. This will tell you a lot in what is working or not in the UMD drive.

Try removing the Memory stick if you are using 1.... remove the battery then restart the psp without the memory stick.. if it boots up ... try using a diffrent memory stick

=)) hope that helps

Psp fell ,turn psp light turns on.screen stays off

Hi first i will say sorry for that. I will recommend that you see a certified technician to fix it up, there are a few things i guess are wrong with your psp... the system of psp are fragile and should be handled with care because i think one or more parts are broken and need replacement. Cheers

oops..that's not going to help out too much. I'd say that your printer is really going to need some professional onsite or depot help. Dropping any computing device will upset it's mechanicals dramatically.

Psp will not load in any games

"tap" not hit.. the back of the psp, (where the game goes in on the back) and see if that works.. that will usually get the laser to read the disk.. perhaps the umd is dirty..  only tap on it "lightly" when you hear it loading.. i know that sounds stupid, but it worked for me countless of times.
