We have code F84 coming up on our Electrolux microwave, wall oven. Seems to be affecting the microwave. Any ideas what might be going on?

The F84 code is a communication error between the user interface panel of the microwave and the main control board. This could be the result of a problem with the touch panel's interface board, the main control board or the wiring between them. (The wiring harness can come loose or have a bit of corrosion at the connectors.) The usual recommendation is to check the wiring at the interface board then replace the interface board first. If that doesn't solve the problem, you have to replace the control panel.

If you add a comment with the model number of the unit, I may be able to help you find the parts your unit needs.

I hope this helps.

WMG30GS Whirlpool microwave display

please follow this steps and fix it. God bless you
  1. Main control board If the display on your microwave has gone out completely this is usually a sign that it is a malfunctioned main control board. To correct the issue the main control board would need to be replaced.
  2. Display board A display board can either malfunction completely or partially, causing two separate results. If the display on the unit has completely gone out, this can be attributed to either a bad main control board or display board. On the other hand, if the display has only partially gone out, this is usually a sign that the display board is defective and will need to be replaced

Nn-t664sf no power

Check the power plug and also the mains supply to the main board. Please disconnect the power to check the continuity. Check the main fuse and if blown the main capacitor and surge capacitor.

Make sure that the program controller is working if not check power - step down supply, the pads are responding- if not faulty pads- or the door switches, if the switch contact are not good then it will not trigger the processor to switch on the waveguides. If the lights or fan work without any display or action of program being triggered to start then it can be a possible fault on the main board or the processor. Sometimes insect secretion can short the board and display panel and so the processor can work in such an erratic manner. If so clean, solder and reset the board. Now identify the parts by clicking this link: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/microwave/a/5/141/identifying-microwave-parts.html

If there is no heating please do not switch on unless you have confirmed the fault. It is possible that the Magnetron is faulty, the temperature cut off is faulty or the main capacitor is short. It is also quite possible that insect can get into the oven and create soft spots. When you switch on these will create a short and make the voltage jump and in the long run damage the magnetron. Check this link to know how a microwave works:

http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/microwave/a/5/1443/how-a-microwave-oven-works.html

So Remove cover after disconnecting , check for dirt/moisture in the cabin, if so wipe clean and dry, check the magnetron and area clean and use an jet air to clean off. Check the wave guide covers, if food had deposited
then it must be checked or replaced. See link:

The codes represent there is an error and as there is no heating please do not switch on unless you have confirmed the fault. Now keeping clear of the microwave, switch on, use a cup of water inside to test.
If you notice any sparks shut off as the magnetron or the main HT capacitor can be faulty. replace with same type.
If there is heating without any issues, you can use the microwave safely

Brand new microwave lights up plate turns around everything works except nothing heats up! how can i fix it

Since this is a new set you must claim for the free warranty on the set before you try to tamper.

I have a GE Advantium Microwave Model # SCA1000HWW, where the lights stays on, the fan is on and the turn table is spinning when you shut the door.

Main relay RY1 on your main PCB is shorted.

You can order a new board (part number WB27X10776) for $167.20 from the Pros here. They're our favorite supplier.

Or we can repair your circuit board with our $39.95 service.

The service manual will help you with disassembly. It's here.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Feel free to contact me directly if you need further help.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

My micorwave

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Your described problem indicates that the logic circuitry in the main controller board is faulty. Since the logic circuitry is integral to the board, it would require an assembly replacement. On most brands/models, the main controller board is directly behind the display panel. In some instances, it could be a stuck key/button hence the logic would not reset.

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

Fans runs when door closed, light always off

The first thing to replace is your technician. *grin*

You have a shorted main relay (lamp relay) on the control circuit board and a burned out light bulb.

You do not need a new board.

We regularly repair such control units for customers nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid in about a week with a one-year guarantee.

Page 24 of your owner's manual shows you how to replace the light bulb. Be sure to unplug it first.

If you don't have your manual, you can download it here.

Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your full model number) for more information & help.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
