Question about Xerox Phaser 7700 Laser Printer

Xerox Paser 7700 not printing seemingly large files from CDR13

We printed one page OK. When trying to print the next all indications showed that the data went to the printer and the printer processed it. But nothing came out and the printer went to "Ready" state. We converted to from CDR to pdf and it printed OK but with the colours distorted. We tried a smaller CDR file and it printed OK. Is there a memory constraint? Out printer has the maximum 512MB. How can we print large files from CDR?

Have you tried downloading a different driver?
Sounds like that may be the problem

Solution : Print the Troubleshooting Print Quality Pages and Make Sure the Colors Are Accurate CAUTION: Use of inks other than Genuine Xerox Solid Ink may affect print quality and printer reliability. It is the only ink designed and manufactured under strict quality controls by Xerox for specific use with this printer. The Xerox Warranty, Service Agreements, and Total Satisfaction Guarantee do not cover damage, malfunction, or degradation of performance caused by use of non-Xerox supplies, or the use of Xerox supplies not specified for this printer.
To print the Troubleshooting Print Quality pages:
  1. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button on the Control Panel to select [Troubleshooting] on the Display Screen, and then press the [OK] button.
  2. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Print Quality Problems], and then press the [OK] button.
  3. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Troubleshooting Print Quality Problems], and then press the [OK] button to print the test pages.
  4. Go through the pages and find the Light Stripes Test page.

    For each color, remove an unused solid ink stick from the printer, and then use the ink stick to make a mark of color next to the corresponding color on the printed page. If the colors do not closely match, that color will need to be purged from the print head. Continue with step 6 if the colors do not closely match.
  5. NOTE: If the colors do closely match, the problem is not related to the printer's hardware. There is no hardware adjustment available on the Control Panel for calibrating individual colors.

  6. Create a document consisting of a full page (100% fill) of the color not printing correctly, or download and use one of the resource files provided in the table below. For example, if cyan ink is actually printing black, create a document that is a solid fill of cyan, or download and open the Cyan fill page provided in the table below.

    IMPORTANT: Make sure to set the Print Quality mode in the print driver to "Standard" and the TekColor Correction to "None" before performing the next step. This will allow the job to purge only the problem color. Other settings may cause the printer to use a percentage of the other ink sticks.

  7. Print approximately 50 - 100 pages of the document, as necessary, until the printed color returns to normal.

Xerox Phaser 7700 printing Black line across bottom of every page

The line could be caused by contamination on the black laser lens. Try using the cleaning wand located in the front door to clean the lens. You will need to remove the waste toner container to access the wand slots. If that does not solve the problem, the black developer housing may need to be replaced. Refurbished parts at:

Phaser 8560 magenta ink not transfering to paper

Hi jbasset285: Your printhead may be bad do to third party ink.
Try these steps first.
Diagnosing Print-Quality Problems
The Troubleshooting Print-Quality Page provides a good overview of the most
common print quality problems. To print the Troubleshooting Print-Quality Page,
follow these steps:
1. From the Control Panel, scroll to Troubleshooting, then press OK.
2. Scroll to Print Quality Problems, then press OK.
3. Scroll to Troubleshooting Print Quality Page, then press OK.
The Troubleshooting Print Quality Page includes instructions for printing the
Eliminate Light Stripes test print. These instructions are also provided on the next
page of this manual. The Eliminate Light Stripes test print indicates individual weak
or missing jets or an obstruction in the imaging path that affects a vertical band down
the entire page. Also, you may see color variation from jet to jet on the Eliminate
Light Stripes test print. Some variation is normal, occasionally occurs, and usually
self-corrects within a few printed pages. If a print-quality problem is not resolved

Xerox Tektronix Phaser 7700 Laser - Wrinkling paper slightly.

Hy the problem is: You have to clean the 2nd BTR and the transfer belt cleaner. There is a large amount of used toner on those things.

Xerox 7700 intermittant banding on a diagonal black only

You most likely have a bad black developer housing.
You can try removing the waste bottle and using that bla\ck stick inside the cover to clean the laser ****.
But it sounds like the developer housing has failed.

1. Remove the print driver on the PC if this is a local shared printer.

2. Re-share the printer will cause the driver to re-install.

Now the next way to fix issues like this too go to step 3, but only if step 1 and 2 does the same effect.

3. Turn it off and unplug it for 30 seconds.. Now plugin the power. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds to force a reset back to factory defaults.

Still it sounds like a configuration error or bad network driver if this printer is on the network.

Printing a booklet on WorkCentre 7345 , need help argent !!!

OK, same problem, I've gotten through the solution. I can print and have the first page and last page on one side of the large sheet and the two inside pages on the other side, so that is foldable into a booklet.
I start with a 4 page (US letter sized) document I wish to print as a booklet on tabloid paper.
In the (page layout or editing program's) print dialogue, I've said print all pages, set it at 1 page per sheet, then clicked the printer properties button to open the Xerox Workcenter 7345PS option dialogue.
In the Xerox dialog on the "Paper/Output" tab, selected the larger (Tabloid, 11x17" in my case) paper size, selected 2-Sided Print. Then I select the "Layout/Watermark" tab and clicked the Booklet Layout radio button, chose "Landscape" for the Page Layout Option. Note: I saved these settings as "Tabloid Booklet" by clicking the down-arrow to the right of "Driver Defaults" so that I could select them and not have to dial in every one of the settings whilst experimenting.
