When and if it's running, run 'dxdiag' to see if windows reports any sound and video conflicts. It could be the graphic card; as i think(correct me if i'm wrong) that this model has seperate dedicated graphics, other than being on board. I'm assuming all drivers are ok and none of the vga or dvi ports give you any video either. Although the graphics are independent, it's not like a desktop pc graphics agp card, they are; as far as i know integrated in the motherboard, so the board may be the but of your problem, in which case is a replacement worth it or is it within the warranty period.

Go to C/windows and look for a folder called Faultlog.txt. Open it and it should display all the faults that have occurred. Post a few so we can see if theres anything in particular thats causing it.
i would suggest that you reboot and get into Windows. Press [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [Delete] and click Task Manager. On the Performance tab, it will give you a reading for the amount of processor usage (which should only be a few percent when the system is sitting idle) and another counter for the amount of memory usage (this should be 192Mb, i.e. 196608Kb, or less). Minimise Task Manager.
When your PC starts freezing or looks like it's about to (if you can tell when it's going to happen), then try and bring up the Task Manager window again from the taskbar at the bottom of the screen. Has the processor usage shot up? What has happened to the memory usage? You might need to resize your screens so that you have the Task Manager running at the side whilst you continue working - that way, you'll be able to keep an eye on what's going on.

hey check them if the pics u shoot are in C:\Users\username\Pictures then it is ok simply it is a bug of the pic capturing program of acer u can easily update it from this link
but if the pics are not there then the solution is also the same as above
pls rate me fixya if i fixed ur problem

i have this problem 2 days ago.. and this works on me... maybe on your's too
you may need to flash your bios. why need to flash the bios.. ? 1. had the black screen of death. or deleted the bios
how to flash the bios:
STEP 1.download the AA1 BIOS from this link:
2. extract the file
3. rename the file 3309.fd to zg5ia32.fd
4. put zg5ia32.fd and FLASHIT.EXE onto the usb drive
now, start the process
A. make sure the power cable is in
B. the laptop is turned OFF
C. Plug the usb stick in!
Press and HOLD down the FN and ESC key together
then press the power button, while holding the buttons
release the power button and continue holding FN and ESC for about 5 seconds
release the buttons and the power light will start to blink
let the laptop run and DO NOT PRESS anything this can take upto 8 mins
when it's done the laptop will restart.
this works on me... good luck.. and i hope it will help you.....

Right click my computer - properties.
click on the hardware tab.
click device manager.
(here you will see all your hardware devices, click on network adapters and you will see your wireless card)
go into it's properties.
you will se an option to role back the drivers to what was previously there.
confirm this and wait and see!!
