Question about AEG Dishwashers
I bought a new dishwasher in Belgium and brought to India in packed condition. I installed it but find that the upper tray does not come out. Is there a lock or something that I need to release to get the tray sliding? I have not been able to use the washer thus far. Thanks for your help.

SOURCE: Have an Aeg oko 4020
it probably has water in the bottom tray
take bottom front panel off and this exposes the bottom tray
mop out water and machine will run
if fault reoccure then you have a leak

We got rollers recently from Johnstone Supply, 501 Third Avenue, South, Nashville, TN telephone 615-259-3440 or 254-0702. I don't know the cost, but I'm pretty sure it was not $72. I suggest that you have the model #.
I am planning to buy some for another dishwasher at the moment.

You need to open-up the door sections by removing the screws around the perimeter. This is not easy since it takes three hands to hold and disassemble. Please disconnect electric so you do not short any electric parts within the door shell.
The release mechanism may be no good for the soap dispensor tray, or you may find a corroded wire connection to the release. In many cases if the soap tray does not release (but closes) it can be a faulty signal from control panel, however you say the tray will not stay closed; this is most likely a faulty release/latch mechanism which you will see when you open the door shell sections.
Many models have star head screws and will need a star screwdriver (there are 4 or 5 sizes).
Good luck, MACGIVOR

yes a new display is the most likely solution but check connections from input to lcd display card 1st..
