AH YEAH JUST CHECK THE INK LEVELS IN THE CARTRIGE PHYSICALLY AND SELECT THE COLOUR BUTTON

No , we all only wish, this is the bane or all printer users. You cannot print without all in full & being OK. Also must use color sometimes else nozzles can clog up. Must clean, too.

Guess you could try another cart, but first have a good look to make sure nothing is preventing it from seating correctly, and that seals look OK

in your printer u need both cartriges inseted in the printer.u cannot install 1 in your printer it will not function.
clean the brown dotted circuit of the cartridges and check out if it is working.or the replacement of both the cartridges is necessary as the message is replace the ink cartridge.
if u get a message of replace black then u have to replace black.
if the message is replace colour the u have to replace colour.
if ust replace cartridges then replace both 1 by 1 .it will work properly after replacement.thanks.

my hp psc 2210 after putting in new cartridge keeps saying press enter to align cartridge. it keeps repeating the same reading.

hmm...can you isolate it from the computer, and attempt to do a test page from the menu?

I can only suggest that you should use genuine HP ink carts. Try all new carts and realign again. Hopefully it is under warranty. HP is good at exchanging.
